Because all it would take is changing one half of one line of code, that's why.
Instead of running this every week:
Bonus_SP := 187,0000;
You run this:
Bonus_SP := Bonus_SP + 187,000;
Something that simple is not being delayed due to coding issues. it's being delayed for political reasons as many folks here have espoused. I personally suspect a fear of daily player count drop if it were implemented.
No you can't do it that way either. Then people will wait 3-4 weeks, buy a single 7 day booster... grind like a fiend and boost all of that cap all at once.
It needs to be implemented the way the dev says. It needs to be a passive bonus accrual system. Which still can't be that hard to implement... |

Only time you wouldn't get SP in eve is if you didn't pay for your account or the servers went down... And when they do go down they normally give you the SP in bulk

I would love to be able to 'earn my sp' as you say. I don't enjoy afk farming at all. If I did I wouldn't be posting this thread.
Just because I left Subdreddit Response Organization to join a corp with skilled enough players to actually participate in PC... doesn't mean you need to troll/attack me here. Its makes you look childish more than anything.
This is a missing core feature this game needs, period. |

I forget, in EVE, when was the last time someone missed their cap and lost that SP for forever? Every time your skill queue... which has a limit of 24 hours (but allows longer skills in as long as they are starting within the 24 hour limit)... runs dry.
However, we have plenty of apps available to monitor how long we have left on our skill que. giving us a good chance of ensuring those little gaps in training don't happen or remain as small as possible.
Of course it would be nice if I could use one of those apps to update my skill que on tranquility then I would be able to do it anywhere I could find Internet access. |
