Oh wait, you're not my mother, you're... no one? I guess the merc packs blinded the eyes of CCP and they don't remember "We want the game to be atractive for casual players". Did you even work in the Academy? At least you "talk" about the game in the "weekly update". "we talked about this", "we talked about that". Yes, talk is nice. You didn't really respond to what I posted, so I'll say again. You're part of the problem. Don't want it to be a problem? Start up another character, and limit yourself to only using 2mil SP. Also, use no higher than ADV gear. Until you yourself start making it more friendly towards new people, stop complaining. Posting something like this when all you run is PRO assault gear doesn't help your complaint.
why would players limit themselves? This is always going to be a fundamental flaw to this game. People think they are saving isk by playing in low tioer gear but the problem is they are not getting out of the gear and learning to survive. This is an RPG. Part of the foundation of the game is based on SP and gear - thats the point of an RPG
And as this is an RPG there seems to me to be a disconnect between an RPG that is in the current confined space of 16v 16 where there are ISk consequences. There isnt the mechanic like in Eve where there can be more than 16 on one side etc.
It is new player unfriendly. Its not up to the playerbase to just run militia in pubs - thats not the point of the game. And it doesn't seem CCP can do matchmaking - perhaps too many variables. |

What other game can you fight 1v1 and you have 980 hp (shiekd and armor) and the other guy has 210 hp, your bullets do 35hp per bullet and his do 25hp? It creates the proto-pub-stomp that all players of little to no fps skill flock to and stay with as to pretend they are good at fps. As soon as they try another fps they are delt a stiff dose of reality.....You suck at fps. At times I wonder if being able to rofl-stomp new players is the point, if the game was designed with that purpose in mind.
yeah apparently its called welcome to new eden and htfu |

yes this is true compared to other FPSs but it is supposed to be an RPG so there is supposed to be these discrepancies.
But the RPG side doesn't really work either i.e. there are different characters/ roles etc on the field. Tbh even proto v proto say in PC it is still mainly about characters having the highest HP and DPS. There is little variation. Personally this is down to allowing too many of the same modules to be stacked. |
