CCP do you even test anything.
Right now you have a secondary weapon that is asolute ****, every game i come near the kill feed reads flaylock, flaylock.....
It's not OP: But can kill a full heavy in 2-3 shots... but everyman and his dog is spamming them.... they require no skill, no gunplay, just weild and spam. Just jump sideways: into the blast radius of the other 6 guys shooting them at you.... Hard to use: YOU ******* LIARS, point at feet....spam, actually one of the easiest weapons to use.
This gun needs rebalancing to be a sidearm, I would suggest raising its damage, lowering the splash damage and make it 1 shot reload, as it stands right now, the game is being fucktarded over, by people who have 0 gun skills.
Also look at it from the new players point of view, they don't know anything about whats even hit them. Which in a game with as many flaws as it has, thats probably enough for people to say **** this ****.
It's not a weapon, its a gimmick, that has made me, redline snipe cuz losing suits, even militia/starter suits to that cheap ass **** aint worth the aro.

Main thing is, when you see a light go 30+/0 not thru skill, movement, sneakiness, but just spamming them thru mobs, it removes the tactical and "intense" combat from the game.

Man, we will never see the end of nerf threads.
Missile tanks were nerfed. Dropships were nerfed. Mass drivers were nerfed. Swarm launchers and forge guns were nerfed. HMGs were nerfed. Laser rifles were nerfed. Remote explosives were nerfed.

not asking for a nerf, asking for it to be balanced, like the TAC AR, that wasn't nerfed, it was balanced. Laser rifles were nerfed, they need a major boost, I'd sooner see chromosone laser rifles, they struck fear into the game. Same for mass drivers. |

It's mainly just the upper tier flaylocks (core specifically) that are the issue.
I've been saying this for a while; so I'll repeat it here:
Tiericide for DUST - remove the concept of straight upgrades and instead focus on making each weapon useful and balanced in its 'class'. |

1 shot reload? So essentially, you want users to be dead if they miss a single shot...sounds reasonable. Wow you sound like a complete and utter whiner who sucks at the game
How about you learn to not move in dumb predictable patterns? The flaylocks slower flight time means users have to lead shots a lot (which btw takes more skill than using an AR!!), which only works against opponents who are too dumb to not move in predicable patterns (you obviously are part of the dumb player group).
Also, even a core flaylock won't kill a heavy in 2-3 shots....unless that heavy takes fire from other sources.
Love clueless rage posts like yours, they're funny. Can I have your stuff....or are you willing to get better at the game instead of whining like a little b***?
The reason the TAR was nerfed was because it was good at EVERYTHING without any major drawbacks. The flaylock has PLENTY of drawbacks. Range, small clip size, only 3 shots, pretty pointless against shields...do you want more? Don't be ridiculous if you expect people to take you seriously...
Also, complaining about losing standard/militia suits to a PROTO weapon is beyond laughable |

The biggest issue with the Flaylock is the bonus damage explosive weapons deal to armor. If that were lowered or armor had a skill to increase damage resistance I believe the Flaylock would be more balanced. |

Ever used a SMG or a scrambler pistol? Quite similar to the flaylock in damage, and more so if you headshot. If your main weapon is a mid-range weapon, then you shouldn't have a problem with flaylocks, as you should stay at your optimum range and use your sidearm when in close. If your main weapon is a close range weapon (shotgun, HMG, even an MD) then you still shouldn't have a problem, given you're better or equal to the guy with the flaylock. |

If I remember right SCR is something like 130/90 against shields and armor, while explosives are 100/150. |

@ R'adeh Hunt i almost thought i was gunna read a well constructed post then, I know some people need these crutch/fotm weapons to make themselves feel awesome, fact of the matter is, its "drawbars" are very very minor, and it performance nullifies tem, excellent at range, damage, splash hitting people behind cover. I also already adressed the "predictable patterns"

SMG is good, at close range, after that not so much, scrambler is very circumstantial, if you do hit that headshot, you smile. But the flay lock works well at medium range, doesn't need accuracy. I personally don't have that much of an issue with them, I'm a sniper. I'm just not willing to hide behind a wall of e-lingo(forum sunglasses) to protect what is obviously not balanced. |

You clearly have never used the weapon yourself, haven't compared it to other sidearms, and for crying out loud you whine about losing militia/standard suits to proto weapons. Your entire post is a bitchy little whine post with clueless "suggestion"

Sure, it can somewhat shoot at the bare minimum of medium range, but then you have to factor in the slowness of the missile. Furthermore, the "massive damage" you're claiming only exists at close range, as the damage has degraded to almost nothing once it reaches mid-range. Anyone who has used a flaylock pistol knows that. |

I understand how other side arms work, I also never see an SMG user go 30/0, all the other side arms are very situalional, but the flalock is not. I have used it, and it was just a mockery of gun fights. there is no skill required I was crying about loosing militia suits, especially considering, I dont use them. I was pointing the fact of how cheap the weapon is. I had a feeling that would fly over peoples heads.
Post was constructive in the matter of not hiding behind this crutch and explaining that I think thats its a cheap/gimmick weapon that shouldn't be ingame in the state its in.
I have leaned to play the game, and many other games, this is actually one of the first weapons i have ever just flat out thought to myself, what the **** were they thinking.
When i made this post I knew i would take a lot more flak than like, that is because, a lot of players nowadays will protect their kdr to the death, wether it benfits the game or not.

Oh, so you don't militia/standard suits? I guess you were lying then WHEN YOU SAID JUST THE OPPOSITE IN ONE OF YOUR PREVIOUS POSTS!!!
Also, going 30/0 isn't the norm...plenty of SMG users go 30/0 once in a while, just like some flaylock users get the same scores when fighting DUMB players. But it's not the norm. Do you really want to "balance" the game based on the dumbest players? If they can't cope it, in your fantasy world it's overpowered?
You're talking out of your ass and are pretty much lying as your latest post proves. Not only that, your "solutions" are so laughable, it's hard to take you seriously. |

What are you saying? Have you ever noticed that NO ONE uses the TAR anymore because of its uselessness. I have to admit that before the NERF I was going 30+ kills with just 5- deaths. Now I use the regular AR and going 20+ kills with 5- deaths. When I tried using TAR post NERF, but with its low ammo count and RoF being inconsistant, I find it liability than an asset, so I switched to the AR. |
