Ever used a SMG or a scrambler pistol? Quite similar to the flaylock in damage, and more so if you headshot. If your main weapon is a mid-range weapon, then you shouldn't have a problem with flaylocks, as you should stay at your optimum range and use your sidearm when in close. If your main weapon is a close range weapon (shotgun, HMG, even an MD) then you still shouldn't have a problem, given you're better or equal to the guy with the flaylock. |

SMG is good, at close range, after that not so much, scrambler is very circumstantial, if you do hit that headshot, you smile. But the flay lock works well at medium range, doesn't need accuracy. I personally don't have that much of an issue with them, I'm a sniper. I'm just not willing to hide behind a wall of e-lingo(forum sunglasses) to protect what is obviously not balanced. I can tell you're a sniper, since you obviously don't know what "mid-range" is. Flaylocks are not even remotely good for medium range, like all sidearms. |

They can hold up against AR users with ease, anyone who tries to deny that is delusional. How would you know if you're a sniper and have never used a flaylock or an AR against one? Sure, it can somewhat shoot at the bare minimum of medium range, but then you have to factor in the slowness of the missile. Furthermore, the "massive damage" you're claiming only exists at close range, as the damage has degraded to almost nothing once it reaches mid-range. Anyone who has used a flaylock pistol knows that. |

You clearly have never used the weapon yourself, haven't compared it to other sidearms, and for crying out loud you whine about losing militia/standard suits to proto weapons. Your entire post is a bitchy little whine post with clueless "suggestion" Learn to play the game instead of whining and making laughable suggestions like "one shot reload". Also, calling a flaylock a "mid range weapon" is another sign that you're simply beyond clueless. I understand how other side arms work, I also never see an SMG user go 30/0, all the other side arms are very situalional, but the flalock is not. I have used it, and it was just a mockery of gun fights. there is no skill required I was crying about loosing militia suits, especially considering, I dont use them. I was pointing the fact of how cheap the weapon is. I had a feeling that would fly over peoples heads. Post was constructive in the matter of not hiding behind this crutch and explaining that I think thats its a cheap/gimmick weapon that shouldn't be ingame in the state its in. I have leaned to play the game, and many other games, this is actually one of the first weapons i have ever just flat out thought to myself, what the **** were they thinking. When i made this post I knew i would take a lot more flak than like, that is because, a lot of players nowadays will protect their kdr to the death, wether it benfits the game or not. I've only spent enough SP for the basic flaylock, and that was one of my worst mistakes (aside from spec-ing into laser rifles), and I've never used one since my first experience. |
