Another thing i HATE in this game....
Why CCP put th headshot status if i don't receive wp for it? And Longest kill? for what? And where's the stealth kill? It would befun to backstab with nova knifes, good for anti-sniper role... |

I used to put up with hours upon hours of socom4 bugs because at the core of the game it was sincerely fun to kill someone. This game lacks fun game modes, content, and anything more than a promise by CCP.
I followed this game from the first E3 spot in 2010, the promise of large scale warfare. Commanding troops across a battlefield similar to MAG Domination except 10x better. A game that you could customize anything, including something as simple as the scope on my gun or the color of my armor.
This shell of a game is what we have, it doesn't even feel like a game sometimes. Its a job because the only reason to log into play is to grind for SP so that those that clinged to hope that this game would one day be good would not be behind the curve.
It's not 1/2 the realistic combat game BF3 is.
It's not 1/2 the large scale combat game MAG was.
It's not 1/2 the competitiveness of what Socom was.
It can't even get the aiming mechanics right and that's just even the fun part. Aiming and hit detection is the core of the game that wolfenstein 3D even had down. What hope is there for a game that doesn't even have the core feature of an FPS, much less the features that are supposed to differentiate it from other FPS?
The PC system is so disconnected from anything resembling ownership or meaning that it lacks value other than wasting an extra 30 minutes to get into a battle.
I'm not sure what elements CCP decided to focus on instead of these things, I imagine them making a lava planet and MTACS in their shanghai office and forgetting that their core audience just wants to shoot assault rifles with fun sounds, game modes, shooting mechanics, and a sense of epicness.
Dust just never delivered on anything.

I will say, however, that I'll be watching this game very closely for updates and features. It's a great concept, but there are other games out there that are fun now, rather than later down the road. and this |

I'm not leaving. PS4 is a fine looking machine but the brutal truth is there isn't any games at its launch that I'm bothered about.
And while we're on the subject, where is it that players banging on about Dust not being on the PS4 on day one think that 80m PS3 are going to go on launch day?
It's taken seven years to not only sell 80m units, its taken that long to build the things in the first place! Are you all so wrapped into your own bitterness of CCP's 'failure' to launch for not as yet available console, that your convincing yourselves that Sony has a warehouse with 80m PS4's ready to go on day one in case every single PS3 owner on the planet decides to upgrade on the first day?
The PS3 launched at the tail end of an economic boom. There was more people with disposable income to splurge out on an expansive console. There's a reason why Sony announced a PS4 price lower than its predesessor. There's a world wide recession. Frankly a new console is now a luxury item for many. Sony and the industry in general aren't expecting the same kind of early adoption figures that the last gen enjoyed.
So on the PS3 we have a cheaper console with lots of games that Sony are going to continue to make for a while to come. (They only stopped making the PS2 about 18 months ago), that developers are still going to support for at least 5 years because of that 80m installed user base. And CCP are producing a free FPS game on that format that will get better with time? And will launch on the PS4 at some time and likely other formats once the exclusively period ends.
You can say I'm clutching at straws if you want. Whatever it takes to fulfill your own pessimistic views. But if you've sat down and spoken to senior CCP members including Hilmar over the charity lunch as I did at Fanfest you'll know CCP are in this for the long run. Which is why I'll sticking around, running D-UNI for quite a while yet. |

I'm not leaving but I'm start to see the charm wearing off. My issues are as follows:
Matchmaking, it seems like you either curbstomp the other team or get curbstomped yourself, there's rarely any battles I'd call "Close" anymore. Lack of variety, we desperately need either more maps, more game modes or preferably both. If you're not doing PC then you're not really doing anything other than grinding SP or isk. With the exception of the GODlock it seems like all splash damage based weapons have serious issues with hit detection (but not as bad as they used to). Skills that are nothing besides SP sinks to unlock other skills. Skills that are pointless for their intended weapon (I believe the ammo boost skill for mass driver gives TWO more rounds at level five). |

I love the depth and potential DUST had but its lost momentum. The lag and lack of balance drove me away from dust. Weapons such as laser rifles and some mass driver variations along with breach AR are useless weapons with no place on the competitive battlefield. The DUVOLLE AR is the golden workhorse for many top corps. Also making proto tier tanks slower, more expensive and less HP makes me wonder who is the fool swinging the pendulum from overpowered to under powered. FInd a balance and ill be happy to return to DUST 514. |

Uprising build caused most of my friends list to leave. The game is not fun anymore. Im not going to waste my time to explain but here are a few things. Wep. range, Jack shooting, Slow charater movement, Many skills only work if you equip the module, Hit detection sucks and a bunch of other crap. Bottom line is the game sucks worse now and if my friends dont play no reason I should play. |

CCP is listening to the wrong people, and ignoring the right ones. Except that they don't listen to any of us, and I doubt they listen to the CPM either. If you want any indication, look at the how many things they tried to fix that weren't broken in Uprising. Now that they want to be more transparent, things are going to get ugly now that we have a bunch of squeakers on here, looking for a F2P CoD. Look at the rise in nerf HAV, shotgun, and Fighter Jets topics in the feedback section. actually the HAV nerf had heavy support from CPM and are asking for even more nerfs to HAVs and other vehicles as well so this is an area where they did listen to CPM and not the vehicle base which CPM is strongly against as infantry guys, they want to remove almost all functionality of vehicles to be just transports with paper thin armor and no weapons.
But they are a-ok with continual price bumps in ISK and SP at the same time... |

Add:
- Disconnected all the time - CCP Made a mistake with handing out isk and RUINED EVERYONE who spent some of it! - Won't allow me to transfer BPO's (I got like 4 copies of every bpo because of buying merc packs) from one character to another (PATHETIC!) - Gotta reboot my ps3 (memory leaks) every 3 hours! - Can't buy ISK with aur.

At least you said that, too many people would've vehemently attacked PS2, and tried to make DUST seem better than it is. I don't think I'll be too disappointed by it, but if I am I figure, I'll be getting every launch title so, I should be fine on games to play. |

You are looking at it from the perspective of a reasonable consumer which is great and something more people need to do, but you seem to be forgetting theres a decent amount of people in the playerbase that bought a PS3 solely to play Dust with the only other game they play being EVE so the library of games already out along with the games set to be released dont interest them at all which is why they keep up the whole "Im abandoning this system" thing |

The reasons I log into Dust even thought most times I may log off without even playing;
Suit imbalance, gun imbalance, pub proto-stomping, no 32v32, Skirmish 2.0, Uprising, remade maps.
Basically, I would continue to play more if Chromosome was back. Along with that, It would make it so much better if Skirmish 1.0 was here with 32v32 (I'm fine with the low quality graphics of past builds). I disliked Skirmish 2.0 from day one. In Chromosome, the guns and suits were better balanced. There was still pub proto-stomping which ruined the fun but with the better balanced suits of Chromosome, it was not as bad. |

With regards to the OP, i realized that dust is just an empty promise. I wqs told that it would be so much more than this, and because CCP can't even give us a general idea of when they can give us a general idea of what they want dust to be, i have no confidence in their ability to improve the game before i truly move on. |

thanks for any and all replies. Everyone that is going to leave already left. The others are just going to complain and stay in the game cause they are addicted. People have left the forums though. I suspect it has to do with all the duplicate threads about things already mentioned as issues by both the players and the developers. Threads like this one that keep popping up. No offense or trolling meant. These threads just don't get much done.
Also, do your own research. There is a nice search feature that you can look at to avoid duplicate posts. There are many already out there that are still current and very useful. |
