Where are all the TAC ARs?

Makes me lol, I haven't been killed by anyone with a TAC either.

I had always assumed that was their best use, let the corps big guns get the kdr with their hmg's and car's I'll take the wp' with my revives, resupplies and drops.... and every once and a while get a kill on a guy they missed or didnt seal the deal one as I come to pick up their fat asses.

Because those weapons are bugged/broken/up (MD have broken explosions, the burst is up and the laser rifle doesen't work with that stupid iron sight). The Tac AR is now perfectly balanced, i use sometimes in the more open maps. Its really good at medium-long range and decent on short range, but now it requires you to actually AIM.

I think those TAC guys all switched to the Flaylock and ScR.... (which I think are fine, as-is, BTW....)

That is why the only AR's that are actually useful, are the fully automatic ones. So it is 4 AR variations, and only 1 that you can actually use, and with the general AR hate in this community, soon is going to be 4 AR variations that NO ONE is going to use. Welcome to CCP.

LOLZ ^^ this was my point before with AR vs HMG. because when you take something that is OP and use it against something thats UP, skill really isnt involved on the part of the OP guy....lol in most FPS people look for the best instawin gun (or in fighting games the i win character/i win move). modern players tend to gravitate toward those. the concept of balance is lost to your modern gamer. if you look at FPS like CoD, you see what i mean, every gun is between a 2-4 shot kill, pretty much across the map, so disparity between whats OP and UP is kinda blurred. However, in DUST we have higher HP and a skill point based system. so, diferent people will have diferent proficiencies, damage mods, speed boosters, higher armor, etc, etc, for a player ne to this style of play anything that insta kills them while they need several bullets will make them feel that the weapon used was OP. when really its a complex problem replete with various factors from skills, to mods, to weapon type, to optimal range, to shield/armor efficacy. this is too much for your average player.

Welcome to CCP. welcome to the HMG. after chromosome it was a downward slope of pain. im still trying to recover my K/D between the HMGs pitifu damage, and the TACs that only recently got patched, my K/D is 2kills lower than it used to be.

Well that is my point...I said AR's because the OP was asking about them. But yes, is pretty much the same with every weapon, 4 variations and only one that you can actually use. In some cases is 4 variations and NONE that you can use.

People who now just sprint towards you then try and dance round hipfiring it tend not to do so well anymore which often leads to hatemail for the person who killed them. Ironically I killed a guy using a Duv TAR a few times in a match and he sent me hatemail for using the current FOTM whilst he sticks with his poor broken UP weapon that has been nerfed to oblivion. If he had tried not using it like a shotgun he may have had more luck, and my dirty secret the FOTM weapon I used that is so godly OP in this guys eyes..... THE MD! I know I suck using the MD everyone uses because its so OP I apologise. <-- what I replied saying and got accused of being a glitcher not sure what giltch or anything final message from the guy just said reported for glitching.

Most of the truly good players saw the outcry and knew what was going to happen so they moved on to use better weapons since the tact was doing to be mostly useless. Lets just say I have not been killed by a single tac since the nerf.

Thing is I'm not, it's just low as hell. If I used it more to learn the cadence it wouldn't be as bad, but as it is I end up jamming it up when I'm not even trying to shoot quickly. Doesn't really matter though, with it's poor CQB performance it's not a serious option anymore, anyway.
