Should they just shut down Dust and restart on PS4?

Bare in mind that the cons to maintaining a PS3 client involve a drain on developer resources, as well as a bottleneck on the number of features actually available in the game that a PS4 can handle but the PS3 cannot. For example you will never have building and terrain destruction on the PS3, nor high player counts inside of matches. As a result, PS4 players will also not be able to enjoy these benefits, even though their system (and by proxy, the games they are competing with) can. Personally I vote shut it down and restart. I believe strongly in the vision of Dust, but I also believe we are on the completely wrong path right now and it is digging itself into a hole it may never be able to get out of.

You will have to wait another 3 year for ps4 and by then the competition will have taken root. DUST needs to reboot but I think on VISTA.

You can make it shut down by stop playing When you come back, it will be better. Its the same thing.

I saw an interview during E3 where someone from SE was talking fairly candidly about how with the original version of XIV they didn't listen or interact with the community, they pretty much did things their way and felt it was too bad for the players if they didn't like it. Then with RR they realized they needed input, and they needed to listen, while still keeping their artistic vision intact. Basically, it's the same exact narrative that's been playing out with Dust and CCP shanghai over the last month or so where we've heard they didn't/don't really want to listen to us, but are now starting to see that it's the only way to really make things progress and improve. So, what I'm saying is CCP Shanghai needs to get serious about really opening up to the community. It doesn't mean they need to let us make the game for them, but there needs to be a more direct conversation.

But, but there is too many FPS as is. How can CCP make money, if more games are becoming free to play and Dust will lose players slowly, if the other are better Dust will start to lose more players and the only one will be people that spend too much money or time on Dust. If CCP wants to make money, then they should re-do Dust. If they make it into an amazing game then they can even make it into B2P and gain some money with AUR or stay F2P if they are really confident that they are going to make money.
