Sometimes I'll run a protosuit for one life, then move to a lesser suit after that. The difference between the protype suit and the advanced suit isn't terribly massive anyway. If I really want to make money I'll just run a standard suit with proto grenades. It can generally one hit everyone advanced and below for 25k isk. |

I guess for you they need to release Extravagant gear (EXT). Another couple of 5% bonuses and 5x the cost of PRO. When you die a bunch of of gold coins sprays out and everyone has to run around and collect them for bonus isk. |

my real story,
I did some math
@ 5 months in I had 2600 deaths, and about 380mil, so I spent some and got 3000 suits to last me five months.

I dropped into a random match the other day to be on the receiving end of a full 16/16 Dios Ex team, all full proto, they had 3 max geared HAVs and 3 logi-LAVs repairing them. Ridiculous overkill or tiny peepees? Not sure; at least I killed one of the HAVs and cost some dude some ISK.

It's their perogative if they want to risk the potential ISK loss if someone like me manages to take them out with nothing but Militia gear. Even if I go 1-20 against the Proto in the process, it's nice to know that my one kill cost them a bunch of ISK, whereas my 20 deaths cost me nothing. I've got news for you, though: it's only a game, and it's not real money. Instant Battle, PC, or whatever, NONE of it actually matters.
The loss of one suit is certainly less than what one makes in a battle. Just throwing that out there.
You must REALLY SUCK!! I make between 400k-600k EVERY MATCH!!! I make so much isk, I GIVE it away. I'll suicide in a proto just to change suits. If u are not making atleast 300k every match, u need to rethink ur roll. |

I make enough in PC to buy 500 fully fitted proto suits and still have plenty left over. I consider me wearing a proto suit as charity, since ISK is meaningless to me and apparently a big deal to everyone else, so my deaths contribute to everyone else gaining more. :) |

It's true. There seems to be a significantly smaller number of skilled snipers in uprising compared to chromosome.... My survivability has gone through the roof. I rarely run proto for my on-the-ground roles; I don't have the supporting skills to warrant it at the moment so it would be pointlessly expensive. |

Yes, some people had tonnes of isk before anyway but that was a minority then - now it's more like a majority and you just know that a large chunk of them aren't making a profit. Most players never bought clone packs for PC and most have never played a PC battle, so all their hundreds of millions of isk just came from the liquidation. The don't care if they lost 1 million isk in a game if they at least went positive on their KD. |

1) I earned the right to use my protosuit when i unlocked it. 2) ISK is meaningless when you sit on a pile of 280m of it. 3) I play solo and come out against allot of stacked 6 player teams, i am gonna need every advatange i can get. 4) 6 man teams don't run militia gear, see 3 if i wanna take em out all 6 of them, i need my shiney suit. 5) The suit allows for more assault capabilities then the Deer caught in headlights Militia version. 6) Every battle means something to me, because i play it to win, ISK in my bank isnt gonna win me anything. 7) When does it matter in a game ? Really ?
Seems like you are playing this game by your own rules of engagement, my rules are, "if it doesnt bring a Tear down on my opponents face", i am playing this game wrong but my own rules also dictate no cheap vehicle driveby kills or noobtubes, AOE effect weapons or teamplay.
I am not sure where gimping yourself to the point to preserve ISK fits in all that, but all good if it works for you, ill keep working on mine and think about that Tear rolling down your face right before my Imperial Scrambler Rifle Pulse disrupt your brain functions in one hit while wearing Militia. |

After nearly 15-18 years of FPS gaming, i know one thing about an FPS, yer gonna die a whole lot of times out of your controle, so ill just Quote 7 on my list.
the only thing that bugs me are the FPS issues we have with aiming while playing an FPS.

Pubstomping in proto gear is not much of a challenge so I generally stick to advanced or less. I don't mind a few protos on the other team. When it's a full squad of proto's then I have to get mine out and hope more people on my team do the same otherwise it's probably gonna be pretty one sided.
