Why are there all these dumb people in this game i try to squad up but nobody ever joins one, and nobody ever makes one for me me to join, and today i'm really mad about it because i was 20 wp away from my first ever orbital strike but nobody wanted to join my squad to help me out. Stop playing this broken garbage game and you will not have to deal with dumb people.
Step2.
If you have chosen to ignore Step 1 then I suggest you join a Corporation.
I highly suggest following step 1 however because you are going to find some of the dumbest video game persons in the world playing this game, and the only way to avoid them is to not play this game.

If you want to form a squad of your own, I'd suggest you make sure you are making good use of comms. Communicate to the whole team that your squad has empty slots, and communicate with your squad. A squad leader who constantly sets objectives, keeps their members oriented, and helps their members to get those extra WP from squad bonuses will be able to form a rather ad-hoc unit.
Nobody really wants to join a squad that stays silent, or really only benefits the squad leader. |

I've been joining random squads in matches lately and it may just be my own paranoia, but it seems like by joining a squad means our team will get a higher matchmaker score, so when ppl from the other side drop, then they are replaced with better ppl to even out the score. This means that you may start off by dominating the match the first half, but then get creamed in the second half. Although, in my case, i'm just a random with no mic and pretty much doing my own thing, so the score bump isn't really justified.
So now I'm thinking of just going back to being a unsquaded merc. Just another random that isn't contributing much to the matchmaker score. It's probably my own paranoia, but it does seem to be a trend for me. |

Please correct me if I am wrong, but when it comes to drop uplinks....if you are in a squad, only people in the squad can spawn on them. If you are not in a squad, all non-squaded people on the team can spawn on them.
Now, being most my fits focus on uplinks, this makes squading up not so attractive. |

Join these guys they'll squad up at minimum and they run fairly organized squads thats why I have an alt in D-Uni |

Well, I suggest you join a corp because orbitals take a team effort if you are not that good. If you are good and know how to pull it off on your own, then go for it on your own. I have seen people pull off orbitals in one-man squads before.
Overall, it's best to just stick to a corp as you will be able to squad up with more trusted members who you know for certain will work with you. You just can't rely on blueberries these days. |

And to be on topic, like a lot of ppl here said join a corp preferably with an alliance and you'll be in a squad most of the time. But if that is not your thing then is lone wolf for you, and this game don't treat lone wolfs very nice.

Not true ... in fact, I think, so long as the Merc who drops the uplink is close to a Defend Order, they get bonus points (even if the uplink is on the other side of the map). |

Bum around, join random groups until you land a good one. Then figure out who's in charge and join their corp. :)
More important than joining a corp is finding people you work well with. |

This! If you start a squad and post you have open slots you're more often than not have people request to join.
Helps to post a time stamp and how many slots you have open. If someone posts "x" it means they want an invite. |

I stopped joing because random squad leaders never used orbital strikes. sucks putting up 1900 on your own only to have some idiot not use his OS. i make my own and i sometimes get people to help but its very rare

Eh, I join a squad anyway most of the time even though you can say that squads nowadays are just hang outs for newberries with a different color. But lately I've been encountering squadmates that follow each other's leads or coordinate attacks on ground. Unless I'm doing a quick couple of matches to grind, I will join up with a squad and encourage that others do the same. No matter the skill level or style of play. |

Mate I cannot express this enough - Join a decent player run corp. It makes a whole world of difference in this game, squad vs squad tactics remind me of old Battlefield 2. I haven't had so much fun and engaging gameplay since strike at karkand!
Really join an established proper player run corp, there are plenty out there. |
