The thing is I really enjoyed myself. Despite what problems Dust has I still have a lot of fun. Everything may not be rosy, but in the end I think that Dust 514 is still something worth putting time into, investing into, and coming back to.
As long as CCP supports this game and keeps iterating that is going to be one of this game's strong suits. People may go to this game and that for a while, but Dust will still be waiting for them when they come back. I do believe our voices matter and that this community matters. With those voices, when people come back after a break or peeking into other games Dust will be better and better.
The key for Dust's future is that the march of progress continue, that changes as they come down the pipe are clearly communicated to the players both in-game and out and that the communication between the players and devs always remains a two way street. Dust has to keep improving so as the iterations keep coming players will come back and fall in love with the game again.
I'm willing to fight for that future and I refuse to let all the blood, sweat, and tears from the early stages of closed beta to now go quietly in the night. It's going to be a long road and it will have its ups and downs, but I'll be happy to travel down it with this community and with all those I've come to know along the way. |

I really do feel that the communication needs to improve. I think that the understand this more and more every day. I really do feel that the devs will take action on this and improve.

You get the stock tanks for free, but to change any guns / upgrade it costs an absurd amount of cert points. Plus they're about to massively increase resource costs on vehicles to push resource boosters / premium membership. |

Tbh, there's really no roles in PS2 - you're either part of the zerg or you're feeding yourself to an enemy zerg. There's no middle ground. If you do manage to find a good fight, it'll last all of five minutes before a Sunderer comes along, spawns a mass of infantry, and farm you into the spawn point.
Well, that, or you suicide when you see a never ending column of tanks off in the distance coming down the road. |

A Sunderer is an APC that can be fit to resupply ammo / repair nearby vehicles. It can also go into "Deployed" mode, creating a spawn point for everyone on your faction to use while also providing a station to change classes at. |

Wow, even a member of the CPM saying if feels this way!?
I've watched with disappointment lately as more and more of the longer term players have either taken a break or left entirely. I still see most of the people who joined in open beta and since but these are worrying timer.
The next patch has got to come in 3 weeks and must be really really good with plenty of new content (not just weapons and suits and maps) to turn the current trend around. |

Oh and we need those patch notes way before the patch - like this week!
I gotta say I was impressed a few weeks back when we had over a dozen devs from all different departments commenting on the forums but it has at least halved since that one two day period. I understand that people are busy over E3 and the Boat Festival and running up to a new patch but communication is seriously important and hugely appreciated. |
