I wish there was some kind of information they can give us but at the same time....CPMs can't.
As he said in his post, he signed an NDA, he cannot give any information regarding issues unless a DEV speaks of it or permission (if that's how it goes). Though I am sure he is willing to do it, but does not want to breach that contract, and get in serious trouble.
And I am not a software developer of any kind, just a gamer. But I have a lot of tech friends and some family members who work in these kinds of fields (you don't have to believe me if you don't want to, people say these things) and from my experience, there is no simplicity in the field, nor remotely any leeway. Either do it perfectly as meant to be, or you screw up, and possibly have to do it all over. It is a very tedious and annoying job to deal with. So i am sure DEVs are having a painstakingly hard time dealing with these matters as Iron Wolf Saber described, they are also relatively new to these things as well, and I am just happy they are at least still dishing out information here and there and giving updates every few months, because I know the issues and the insides on what happens in companies, and there is intel that is best left inside the company offices.
If you read my topic yesterday, you would know that I personally believe that due to the constant banter on CCP to their job in the comunnity's manner and not their own manner, most likely leaves them distraught on even responding to us, due to not feeling welcome at all. I understand this though, that some have been here for a year on end, even two years. But CCP is notorious for being slow developers that do not rush (you should hear about Iceland, people have a lot of breaks there from their jobs). They tend to do things on their own time, which is time consuming, but if I have to compare to EVE with its constant bantering, poor reviews, and horrible content, and still made a comeback with being a victorious MMO. Again this just me personally as to why CCP may not like commentating, because of the harsh demeanor some players put out, which I could see that they do love the game and want it to genuinely grow fast as other developers are working on next-gen games, But putting hate is not going to speed up the process.
I am no "fan boy" at all either, just a casual gamer who likes to play games, and I like this game so I play it. I am satisfied that they bothered to put up Uprising. With all of the negativity, they could have just done absolutely nothing and left it in chromosome, which would have led to lost of investments and angry players, including waste of content and precious needed time. so asking with all politeness and good heart as I am, to just relax. things are not that bad, could have been worse than you imagine, and be happy that they did listen to players, even though not to your liking, I mean hey FoxFour is talking about improving PC on his post and things about MD; he responded as needed.
Though things are slow, things are getting done without responses, and here I rest.
