if i was in anything but a scout suit lol on a serious note though,why not use the things i've spent quite the amout of time training for? when i go into a match it's not to pubstomp just have fun why limit myself to using less advanced/effective gear when i can field things i enjoy using like my proto remote explosives, core flaylock,and proto nova knifes? i spent lots o time to get that sp and using these items makes me smile because i know they are mine,similar to how i view my exile/skinweave :a mark of my time/efforts as a dust 514 beta tester, and no one can take that feeling of pride from me as i roam the battlefield with equipment i earned i didn't use aurm i didn't hack for them i speced,trained,bought,and killed enemies (and in the flaylock/remote explosives case myself) with them these weapons,skills, armor,equipment ,and mods are mine and i'll use them as such.

I made a real nice fitting with the advanced gallente assault. It has a gek and 600 hp and costs 44k
Then I have a gek on a standard assault BPO that only costs the price of the gek and one enhanced armor repper, and has 550 hp.
I used to care about kdr, but why? I get run over, spawn killed, any litany of random and uncontrollable ways to die, so whatever.
I will proto in a PC battle because it increases survivability and the PC battles mean something, to me at least; some may differ.
In general I will run proto in pubs if my opponents are also GIANTs or other EoN guys. Otherwise, the BPO fit for me so I can save mint to funny into my latest alt. |

I always use full proto gear every match. I have 270 mil isk to spend and I make money most games. Proto gears gives me the advantage and I love seeing 3-4 std, adv lvl guys rush me to try and take me out. Makes the game fun for me.
I don't understand why you would use anything less than the best gear you have access to *if* you can afford it. |

i pnly use my proto scout to hunt and kill snipers after ive made my point to snipers i go back to my tier 2 assault.. I REALLY HATE SNIPERS..!! |

Are you kidding I'm loving all this proto gear. Other then my complex shield extender I'm running all STD and pub stomping the **** out of PRO gear, ohhh god sooo much isk, the only players that beat me consistently are the ones that could do it in mlt gear so meh what ever i'll take the isk I'm getting from proto bears any day. |

Everyone runs FULL proto gear. It's not that I get off with the scoreboard but that you want to be on equal ground with everyone and you kind of expect that everyone will bring their best gear.
But unless the protobear is running full shield mods then you should have no problems flanking him... |

but wont the isk rewards and loot system be scaled up along the more gear you use and destroy in higher gear battles?...i mean that alone would make it worth it it would be nice to drop out of a match and get 2 of my rigs out of it. |

Oh yes. Being at the top of the leader board makes my feel warm and fuzzy in my pants and I just cant hold it in. I have to shoot it out all over the place

To be completely honest. I personally don't mind fighting protobears and proto bunnies. It's my team mates and newbs that are not well equipped to fight these protobears and bunnies. Like, if you know how the current state of the game is and why we don't get more players to play. Why the **** will you use proto gear just to crush a new player dream? I do blame CCP for not implementing things to prevent this but players can also just use advance gear when you at least pub stomping... |
