I don't get why everybody seems so worried that this game will die, and then just go and talk crap about it all day.
What do you think new players will do when the current player base only talks crap about it. Let alone the people who haven't even played yet. They will leave or not even bother trying.
I know this game has some issues and I want some things fixed, but I'm not about to go declaring That this game sucks to the whole world. I love this game.
There are ways to express your grievances and concerns without degrading the name of the game or the company that makes it. If you are worried about the life of this game, Stop talking crap and start encouraging new players and supporting CPP.

Most of the playerbase can barely form sentences, so we should probably forgive them for not being able to come up with an idea, let alone constructive criticism. Probably most don't even know what constructive criticism is, and many, surely, don't have any clue as to what might help.

Yeah but why do we always have to compare? We know it's not an a-list blockbuster. It's a free to play FPS that offers a fun experience. Do you really not enjoy playing this game? Or do you just not like losing?
Just because it isn't a tier one game and compare with games like battlefields doesn't mean it can't be fun. Your right, this game isn't on the same level as those other games, but I don't expect it to be. It's a lower level FPS But what's wrong with that. It's silly to compare this game to other games out of its league.
Have played lots of FPS's and ones "better" than this one, and honestly I have more fun playing this one. I support this game because I want it to keep playing it, and others to as well. btw IV only bought the merc pack, and have only been playing for 2 months. 1 month before uprising, 1 month after.

We were told soon. We were told respecs were coming soon. We had isk taken from us causing all sorts of drama, but continue to lose isk from failed PC mechanics, disconnects, etc.
People are pissed.
They've dropped a ton of money on a game that likely to get left in the dust when the PS4 comes out if people even stick around that long.
I've tried to stay optimistic, but damn its getting tough.
The frustration is compounded because there were many people warning of potential issues. Imagine if PC was released a month before uprising for testing.
I've got too much at stake to walk away as I've dropped hundreds of dollars on this game, but I fear I'll be playing again 2 or 3 enemy on the other side most of the time. |

This isn't about it not being an "a-list blockbuster".
This is about the game failing at many of the utter basics that should determine if a game even goes public. Basic control glitches, mechanics glitches, terrain glitches, equipment glitches...
You may be having fun but imagine how much fun you would be having if CCP didn't seemingly decide to cut corners by throwing this game to their C team that never developed a game before let alone ever played an FPS.

Alright, that's fair. We could still encourage them to fix these issues without griefing them. Having been a developer before (nothing big) I can say nothing kills enthusiasm for improvement than haters.
I'm all for pointing out issues and helping the Dev team pinpoint troubled areas. Granted these kinds of issues need to be addressed, but I have confidence that CPP will do this, and I wish them in their efforts. I look forward to the fun I will have in the coming months and all new updates.

You want constructive criticism about why I am questioning why this game is becoming silly.
1. Not being able to play.... when you have a battle scheduled.
2. Reminds me of the commercials I used to see comparing cable phone to verizon....caller id, call waiting included (cable) , verizon....we're working on it.
3. Basic Armor Plate: +65HP -3% to Movement & Sprint Speed; so if your sprint speed is 6.6 ='s -0.198 = 6.402 (ccp says 6.40) Now Add in the Biotic Upgrade Skill 1% to level 3 should be 3% to sprint speed (0.198)... except it is not -- as CCP says they are not going to use the 1000ths place of the decimal point for this for this at level 3 (maybe when they get to level 5 you get it but so far I don't know as my requested skill respec is languishing in limbo); so even though 1% of 6.6 ='s 0.066 ccp says it is 0.06 (0.18) for a total speed of 6.58 -- now you got the module for sprint bonus... kinetic catalyzer which has a 1% bonus to module efficacy Basic is 5% boost to sprint speed, which is .33 for the 6.6 base level of suit. 1% of .33 is 0.0033 which makes it 0.3333 which ccp says is 0.33... where is the 1% module efficacy?
I can go on but the skill tree is a mess, and you only have to pick a skill to find out it is has a 65% chance of being useless. (and that is just the numbers that they have given us... unless you know the base level of the kick/ dispersion of the ar/ smg, how do you know if 5% is even worth it over some other skills) |

If you don't like LAVs running people over (Or whatever else), post a suggestion in the right forum. If you like LAVs running people over, politely explain why they are wrong or 'fix' they could emply. A tiny bit of maturity would go a long way to keeping some atmosphere of fun in this community!
If you don't like this templar event, Does a post "CCP GET YOUR SHT TOGETHER" help anybody in any way?
MY constructive criticism that I would like CCP to hear? Start deleting the immature and self-entitled child-like posts to help clean up the atmosphere of this community. I'm sure the userbase are decent individuals but the vocal minority here seem to think you are their parents that didn't get them the right christmas presents. It's a real turn-off for adults to see.

Firstly, 90% of players don't visit forums so they can't see the negativity.
Second, 75% only have to play the first five minutes to agree; constructively speaking, this game sucks. All around. No trolling here. Just truthful statement. There is little that you can point to and say "wow thats really good".

@ the last few posts.
Think your arguments are good. And I would like to see CPP make some changes. I do want to clarify that im not suggesting ignoring the problems, but maintaining positive outlooks. My main point is about not spreading negative attitudes. You do make good points about the % of people on the forums, but I still believe that even amidst ourselves it is still important, and also regarding keeping up moral among the devs. I do understand that patience runs thin at some point.
The well thought out arguments like yours are not what concern me, it's the constant immature QQ comments and posts about how dust is dead and not going to last the year. |

The majority of the player base was very positive... for about a year.
A year later the game hasn't really progressed, and by many estimations is worse than when it started.
I'm done giving positive criticism. If CCP pulls off a miracle and turns it around, leading to a game that isn't absolutely terrible, then awesome. Frankly though, I'm no longer convinced they have the ability to do so.
Encouraging new players to try this game in it's current state will do nothing but lead to even fewer people willing to give it a try later on, on the off chance they CCP eventually makes something worth playing. |

Unfortunately, constructive criticism = weakness. I prefer creative criticism.
What's a constructive way to tell the devs their game which is supposed to be fun is actually a grey gelatinous pile of unsatisfying tasteless goo?
I mean it looks so good on the box but no matter how closely I follow the recipe it still tastes like nothing. I seems like it had the potential to be delicious but it's half-baked.
I'm really having a hard time finding something that this game does really well other than underwhelm. |

The biggest way to kill a product is when the dedicated players say it sucks, instead of taking about what they love and why people should play. Grow Up. Negative talk spreads like a virus.
