This build was supposed to be the something up their sleeves and we see how well that magic trick was, epic fail.
You can only mess up a "here pick a card" trick so many times before it becomes boring.

Destiny doesn't offer what DUST 514 does, and vice versa. Of course there are some who will play Destiny and like the gameplay more and won't come back. There will be some who play it and play DUST and then some who realise that they don't care for a shooter with 3 classes and would rather take part in fully customised infanty and vehicle warfare with deep progression system and an economy aspect and will.
Destiny is a polished game and seemingly a lot closer to its vision than DUST is so will naturally be a lot more appealing...but when DUST catches up and gets closer to its true vision...when Titans are scorching planets and mercs are breaching EVE ships and shooting them with orbital cannons...when the racial variety of all armor, weapons, vehicles and installations is complete and PvE is fleshed out and mercs are hosting/streaming custom battles........THEN...it's possible DUST 514 might pull in a few more people. :) |

Destiny isn't going to change the world. It will serve as a minor distraction for a few months to the people who can't see beyond more unwarranted shallow Bungie hype that would make even Peter Molyneux shake his head.

Because we all have played these upcoming games and know their gameplay to be enjoyable- oh wait. No one has played these titles yet and all we have is a set of trailers and short, probably staged, gameplay samples.
These games are bound to have their very own set of problems upon release. It's not of any help to compare the current state of one game with orchestrated visions of another. |

But how do we know Destiny will be better? We haven't seen any thing apart from a mere cinematic movie which didn't leave a good impression of the game, nor was it any good. |

Are you kidding? OP linked gameplay footage in the OP. Destiny is looking like what Dust WANTS to be in 5 years and the game isn't even released yet.
If you took the Dust we have now and put it up on the big stage at E3 for presentation, people would real back in shock at the mention that this game is actually already a full release product. The Dust we have now is more like the Alpha version of Destiny.
It boggles my mind how CCP can't even match what Destiny has after 2 years of Beta and development. |

This content should be available before the game came out of beta. In truth if Dust wanted to stay relevant it would have needed to stay a beta until at least next year. Instead they bring it out this year and it will die. PS4, Destiny, PS2 will kill this game. Dust has made alot of promises and has yet to deliver on ANY of them. PC was supposed to be awesome. Instead its horrible. It just makes the game a job. Its too slow and a huge ISK pit. |

It's two different console generations. Graphics defy any comparison for this reason alone. The point is that we don't know enough of how the game actually plays. Presentations are simply not very reliable in that regard. |

Oh, I see you're point now. It's just sad to see people turning a game where the developers spend ages trying to make it better being turned down by these idiots with such high expectations of the content in games. |

To be honest. Everyone is completely free to spend their time and money however they want. It's also completely ok to vent some of the frustration if one is dissatisfied as long as a civil and constructive manner is kept.
What i notice more and more though is that some people are so disillusioned of the game that they have to constantly spam the forum with the same old complains or useless remarks to the point of it beeing an utter waste of time for everyone.
Imagine a party where some people are completely bored and annoyed for whatever perfectly valid reasons but instead of saying "i screw this party because of X, bye" they stick around for the whole evening without ever shutting up about what annoys them so much.
It's a usefull piece of feedback the first 20 times but at some point you just have a vocal group of people inflating the perceived discontent towards the game wich is harmfull to the community and poisons the forums as a usefull source of player feedback for CCP. |

In a year's time if Dust is still on PS3 then it may only look slightly better and will be stuck at 16v16
They are going to have to get in a ton of content, fix much of the gameplay issues and show what is coming to PS4 as soon as possible.
The fact that PS4 is also selling for $400 is also going to tempt many of the "I will buy the new console years down the line" because one thing is certain about the next generation, the developers know how to handle the systems they are developing for. The new games will be much easier to create than last generation so the learning curve wont be that bad.
From the get go you will see bigger and more diverse gaming worlds. |

Im sure Destiny will have PVP, its the guys who made Halo...
Also, check out "The Division" looks a bit like Destiny but in a Tom Clancy universe. PVP confirmed in it (details not known).
Between The Division, Destiny, PS2 all on PS4, I predict my time in DUST is probably going to come to an end sooner rather than later. Luckily, ill still be getting SP so if I ever come back ill have tons of points to spend!
I will say, all those games look like they have less of a hook than DUST. Like, I feel I will burn out on them sooner since they are more PVE focused. If Destiny or the Division have some sort of clan system with the ability to own territory, then all bets are off. |
