So on my main in a reply to a post, One of the things I stated was that this game is garbage. How it's this many years in production yet all these issues are here that shouldn't be.
I get forum banned for this? Stating non constructive rant? It wasn't a rant, it's a fact. Reading the forum rules it doesn't say you're not allowed to criticize this game, but apparently that's the case. Although according to other forum rules, 75% of posts should be deleted and/or get people banne, I. E.: trolling, flaming is prohibited and being courteous is required.
But no that's alright... Instead ban the people who criticize your ****** execution of making a game. |

Did you make any additional points other than saying the game is garbage?
We have more than enough people that just make threads to say that for no purpose. Give some feedback or keep it to yourself. |

So what was your feedback. Or was just mindless attacking the devs the end goal. I find it hard to believe u where singled out when front page is full of posts of similar nature. Also just respond to the email, they were very nice to me when I got banned over a misunderstanding |

Would just like to share the asinine thinking of these people. And as I stated in the post I was banned for, this game has amazing potential and i would like to see it improve and get there. Clearly stating my opinion on the current state of things should definitely not entitle a ban. |

You honestly shouldn't be making a thread about a GM action, as that is actually against the rules. Some of the GMs are more strict than others, and I think they could benefit from coordinating to be more universal in how they handle their work.
Having some that are pretty laid back and others that jump on the smallest infraction on at seemingly random times makes it kind of hard to navigate the forums. |

I can't link to the post because the deleted it. It was in a thukker grenade post the other day. And a FACT is this game is horribly executed and developed as I stated previously. If you fail to see that then you a in a far worse state than I. |

Maybe instead say why your not happy with it and what can be done to make it better. Now your making another non constructive rant about your other non constructive rant. Its a slippery slope  |

The game isn't garbage, you think it's garbage. That's opinion not fact (which is fine by the way, you are entitled to an opinion), unless you mean you have actaully thrown the hard drive from your PS3 in the bin, in which case I apologise, you are correct.

They need to start banning more people TBH or start moving threafs or closing threads in genersl discussion. Stuff like "I'm goingto play planet side 2" should be closed instantly. If it's the same offender ban that person.
Also troll threads ban that person immediately. |

People that consistently complain on the forums are more invested in the game than they want to admit. If you truly feel the game is garbage you would have left and not stuck around to bash it. For a game that some say is 'not fun' or 'garbage' they sure do play a lot. Either you enjoy bashing or actually like the core game more than you want to admit.
It is my opinion that this game in an early and somewhat rough but enjoyable state. I wouldn't play for two to three hours a day if I didn't like it. I have plenty of other games sitting here that I can spend my time on but I don't. The company is following the same model they did with EVE in releasing early, releasing often and iterating on the game based on feedback. If you make a comment today and CCP thinks what you said is a good idea and implements it quickly it can still take months before you see the result.
I try to provide constructive feedback whenever I can and sometimes even receive confirmation from a developer. Most of the time they are well aware of the issues and let me know if it's a high priority or low on the backlog list. My comments haven't earned me a ban (yet) and I can be somewhat vocal about how I feel about it so I must be approaching it differently than you. |

It's valid feedback if you look at it from a slightly deeper perspective.
The game has issues it shouldn't have despite long development time, however if you look at the cause and effect relationship this clearly implies that the reason for this is due to staff incompetence. OP is saying one thing, but implying another. He most likely believes the staff responsible should be fired and replaced.
if I was part of that staff, I would have gone into self preservation mode and banned him for saying this. Nobody wants to lose their job because of some random guy's opinion on the internet gaining popularity.
Not saying that's what happened, but its certainly the most believable kneejerk reaction. |

This is pretty much my view too. I've not had this much enjoyment from any other game that's completely free.
Given that it's free if you don't like it just stop playing and you're no worse off.
I've paid for games I've enjoyed a lot less than Dust 514, now that's something you might legitimately be annoyed about!

Just saying this game is garbage fails horribly in that regard and is a completely unhelpfull statement, if not even destructive. This forum is for discussion and just throwing derogatory terms around, peppered with the word "fact" is not a valid contribution to any kind of discussion.

I agree that people need to be able to voice their opinions. I'm curious what line the OP crossed to earn the ban. At some point the ranting is just hostile noise and not constructive. I wouldn't declare it unacceptable until you see what was said. Without moderation the forums will just descend into a worthless mess. |

If it's the poster i supect it to be (fitting terminology and absence from the forums) then it's by far not an isolated incident. In fact certain posters are pretty quick commenting on a number of topics with nothing more than blunt bashing, derailing sound concerns into useless fights over the general state of the game.
It's a crying waste of time for everyone involved and moderation should enforce a reasonable style of debate if the posters are unable or unwilling to provide it. |
