Would you look into that by any chance? Thats a matter of customer survice, there are known issues where people who requested didnt get their respec, those poeple should file a petition or send a mail to [email protected]
This is what the individual who has made this thread has done, more than one time now.
1) They did the respec request during the time CCP allotted to do so. 2) They did not receive a respec up until as recent as last night (15 hours ago), 3) They had re-emailed CCP @ [email protected] inquiring about the lack of a respec. CCP's email told him they would look into it and it would be 2 weeks at most, this was about 5 weeks ago, still nothing. 4) He has followed up several times with the email and still has not received help.
At this point it doesn't matter, I know Sam and he donated all his isk to the corp and deleted the game after waiting several weeks for an answer to his followup, on his followup, of his original request.

Then explain how Eve Online has been doing just fine under this concept without suffering much if any market shock, genius. How long has Eve been doing just fine with it's 10 year head start? It's also got people who are pouring massive amounts of whatever currency their country spends into it. People tend to be less apt to put something down if they've made an investment in it. However this is Dust, not Eve. While Eve and Dust exist in the same universe, they are not the same game, and they are not subject to "What works in Eve, therefore must work in Dust". The playerbase is different, the gameplay style is different. Players seriously need to stop hiding behind Eve as a shield from criticisms about Dust.
There are a lot of things in Eve that don't work in Dust. However, there are three things that are absolute and are not subject to change regardless of what culture it is in. They are:
1. Adapt or die.
2. Don't use what you can't afford to lose.
3. Accept the permanent consequences of your choices.
These are the rules of New Eden. Otherwise known as the core principles of New Eden. These rules are the supreme laws of the land and space. You can go ahead and advocate other changes for all I care, but don't expect to be able to change these three rules. |

Number 1 and 2 I don't have a problem with, it's #3 that's my issue. Permanent consequences when the whole or at least most of the picture are visable is one thing. However we have placeholders for not only unreleased weapons but also the passive skills of specialized dropsuits besides lacking all racial and other dropsuits. Gear is horrendously balanced and subject to continual shifts until ironed out. We've sparse info released on what's even coming out, or updates as to when. A player's ability to judge what the consequences are is severely hindered by the unknown. And what's the answer, hoard SP for an undetermined length of time. Play longer, one day you'll be able to spec into the what really interests you.
Since the game's clearly unpolished, a respec option until it's at least Dust is more refined, so players would have a better imagine of what the consequences, would go a long way. |
