I happen to like the current ranges alot. Removing SS was the best change of uprising hands down. Movement and dynamic positioning is actually important in this build.
It also has the neat side effect of limiting the prime advantage of kb/m over pads: per pixel precision. |

An antique rifle from World War 1 has a greater effective range than any assault rifle in this game. I'm hopeful that the fix that CCP have in the works for the hard range cap issue is an encompassing one. Ideally including the following:
1. Optimal range stays as designed. 2. Max range is vastly increased, but damage at long range is negligible. 3. Sharpshooter skills brought back, but reduce spread at range rather than magically improve our projectile ballistics. |

Hello, earth to moon unit.
It's about the screen visual aspects, playability and relative ranges between weapons.
It's not about "meters" and how they relate to real life. If you had read my earlier post we could always expand the maps by a factor of 10 to get closer to "reality".
Wake up and smell the coffee before the bacon gets cold.
