So since CCP put these in the market I've seen nothing but contact nades in PC games. Don't get me wrong, I'm used to people using cheap **** to get w/e kills they can, but these contact nades... LOOOOOOL
Who wanted these things back?
What I'm noticing, again, is people start tossing nades before a gun fight even starts. DUST ALREADY requires minimal skill (loltactAR + lolcaldarilogi), but now there's this big noob addition, the "win a 1v1 button".
This thing does 600HP dmg... WAY TOO MUCH for a nade that explodes on contact. Where's the balance? Nades that explode on contact IMHO, should do less dmg than the regular Locus nades.
Whatever little skill involved in cooking a nade, is now gone. C'mon CCP... lower the dmg. This thing is the biggest NOOB weapon in the game....tbh this and the Flaylock pistol are in a race, but I think the contact nade wins.
I'm not even QQ'ing. As a heavy, I didn't die a single time today in PC games against a contact nade, but the way I see gunfights go now is laughable. It's a joke! I see even heavies throwing nades before firing their HMG!!!
I've died against Flaylocks though, but w/e, it is what it is, and people know they're stupidly powerful.
But today I'm like, what's the purpose of these nades? Giving people more crutches? Giving people an ISK version to a weapon with an AUR version (as promised)?
I say again, NOBODY wanted these things back.

Or a random chance to blow up in your face. But I do agree, if they do same or more dmg then regular grenades, that is an issue. |

I'd would love to see these removed entirely they are bad for gameplay, and there is no argument for saving them. |

Contact nades should be in the game, but they shouldn't have the same damage per tier as the nades do now.
I mentioned this is another thread, but perhaps each tier of contact nade could have 150 less splash. So proto impact would have 150 less splash than proto non-impact. This way you give up all that brute force for the convenience of impact detonation, but at the same cost and CPU/PG.
With 150 less splash, this would mean the best impact nade you can possibly get, would only be slightly more powerful than a standard locus nade and slightly less powerful than the M1's (but would cost and fit the same as the Cores).
Also as for lolCalogi, seriously? You ever hear of lolFluxnades? These things are the worst enemy of the Calogi, as the majority of players using that suit arent going to fit much armor because they are already severely gimped in movement and sprint speed. They can stack all the shields they want, but a single standard flux can rip every last bit of shields off leaving them majorly exposed and weaker than a scout with no mods. However I do agree about the lolTacAR. |

Contact grenades have no place in the game. I am all for a grenade with a short fuse time, say like 2 secs, that could be a variable to the types of grenades we have now just with less damage. However, contact grenades (especially in current state with such high damagr) are complete death in CQC. I'm starting to see these in Pub matches as well which is just sad. |

No, we are talking about grenades and grenades, it is red apple vs green apple not apples vs grapes. 2000 damage is way to much for an AV grenade but still no action is taken against it. |

There's no need to even have contact grenades when the game already has a means of lobbing explosives that detonate on impact.

I had no problems with the fused in the merc packs. They were limited in # and rarely seen. The ability to buy them is some BS. The damage dealt, currently, is complete BS. I am still thoroughly disappointed in CCP's decision to implement these like they did.

Like when you throw them, they land and the explode right there doing their damage...
If so then how the **** has this miracle not been applied to fixing the desync issues with the MD? It's the same damn principle isn't it? |

This. But, the duvolle tac should fire cluster bombs full of fused nades. It should fire CBUs at a higher rate of fire than a fully automatic variant of assault rifles. Each CBU is also radar guided, and laser guided, and IR guided. Because it's the future.
I should be able to fire this weapon from the drivers seat of my indestructible LAV, or the MCC.
I'm entitled to this. So, chop chop.
