Too true. We're already at a stage where it's EoN vs CRONOS vs NF. PHI and RND are notable mentions too... But essentially, there are 5-6 Ateams, and when sh!t gets real in PC, that's all that will play. Now, that's all good, until PC boils down to 2 corps/alliances. Then it'll be the same fight, with the same teams, over and over.

Without more players at the nOOb level there will NEVER be enough proper competition to keep this game alive. Say 1/50 players is "competative" and puts up with Dust. And bothers to do PC against higher SP, top gear, HIGHLY experienced Ateams. That's 800 players joining the game just to get a new team to play vs any of the big boys.

I just don't think the game can support itself without PvE and industry. People can mess about with that stuff while gaining SP, forming contacts ect. PC isn't "competative battles" it's a lucky dip to see who gets the servers. But I continue to play, because of the contacts I have made over the last year. It's kinda like all the old MAG beta vets who still put it on now and again.

I think that In the long term, Dust is going to struggle to attract those new players. There's really nothing very attractive about Dust with 3 exceptions. Chat, constant clan battles, and "potential".

it's not the graphics thats the problem, it's the fact were having micro freeze frame rate issues inside of vehicles with these last gen graphics..

I have to agree about the "A" teams and PC race, as well as PvE and mining/industry.

Also, I thought you said you deleted this game from your PS3 for good and that you could delete your character because Dust no longer existed on your PS3?

+1 agreed. MAG was a great game out of the gates. This game has not progressed in the right direction since the beginning. I don't care if it was a ''beta''. It was still out for people to play. MAG was more squad/team based and if you play with randoms on here you get stomped. Trust me I will let you all know when/if Dust surpasses what MAG was. The only thing Dust has right now is funding. See what happens when they run out of it.

Sad part is I just played a game of sabotage in MAG and had fun! People working together as RANDOMS trying to take and defend objectives....when does this happen in Dust...oh yeah like hardly ever!!!

Well they do play but since they don't own any districts, it can hardly be said that they're in Dust.

then they got beat by better players using lower gear.
they couldn't HTFU

they couldn't adapt.
they just died.


so they whined.
they got the weapons nerfed.
they got the ranges nerfed.

because in reality...
they are all cod players. they don't know it, but they are. their gameplay is not real smart. it's zerg or zerg lite.

but the REAL reality is they just aren't good with a gun. so they had to have the medium range gun game nerfed.
it's all 20 feet or nothing for them because they get out gunned.
because they can't adapt. because they can't HTFU. they can just beg for nerfs.


so once again, another good idea is ruined by the same codbois that ruined mag.

all because they get beat by better gamers and then blame the gear.


and now... ironically... once they get the nerfs, all they do is lean on the HTFU motto.

i know, right?

I need to get on my old copy of MAG again...

yea but when i go play zombies with my coworkers, i'm not as hyped as they are, but can understand how they get hooked and COD plays without frame rate issues at more than 20fps.. i can understand why they play it, but still i'm into dust despite the frame rate issues, i see the potential of dust while looking at the present glaring issues while adapting to uprising nerfs, and as result have a love/hate for dust.

This thread gives me a nose bleed, in my foot.
