If I died in a firefight with enemies around, I just respawn to save revivers from the pain of finding my body, attempt a revive, and die getting shot while doing it. If I die in a safe place and the reviver is within ~15 m, I give him/her a chance although most of the time they walk farther away... |

problem is if the needle hitbox is so much as 1 meter away from the corpse, medics will either die trying to find the hitbox or just ignore it after 1 or 2 failed attempts. |

They should treat it mechanically like the scanner or repping tool, but I'm sure dozens of people have said this. |

Sadly with the way its setup right now where you have to find there footprint of when they died its ridiculously hard to use it effectively
best success is start at their feet and walk away from them as they usually fall in the direction they were travelling
atleast that is what I have found.. but pretty much gave up on using one as it usually takes me more time to find the body then it does for them to respawn which really just took 2 of us out of fighting for 12 seconds instead of 1 of us at |

You're better off bringing nanohives for the AV grenade refills, these days. Getting run over doesn't allow anybody to revive you anyway. |

I am not sure if it was a patch or because I dropped down to 480p but revs have been much more successful for me in the last week. I always equip the injector and "aim" at the feet when I hit R1. The circle button has not worked for me since Uprising was released.
I went from about a 5% success rate right after Uprising to about a 70% success rate recently. In Skirmish, hardly anyone bothers to wait for a rev anymore. I still manage to revive about 5 a game in Ambush. This past weekend in one match I think I had about 8. |

Nanite injectors don't work all the time, sometimes the press 0 to revive teammate doesn't show up and I would rather live than stare at the ground looking for your death spot. CCP needs to make your body the target. |

They're still incredibly spotting. In maps where I'd play medic on the frontlines pre-uprising, I'd probably see at least 6 revives. Now I can go an entire match without getting one off successfully, it makes coming in with the medic character seem mostly pointless. |

Oh they will rush to fix an accidental ISK handout, but it's been almost a month and they haven't fixed nanite injectors. And so many other things. |

just have it so repair tools revive instead. that way nanocircuitry doesn't cover 2 items and logis dont have to dedicate themselves to triage (i like having ammo). just do it the same way they do it in planetside 2 |

Dev Response On Possible Fix basically, they might just let the client do the inject where the rag-dolled corpse is and let the server check if it's close enough to where it thinks the body is.
that would be a great fix. i hope they do something soon. i've heard squad mates tell new player no to even use needles. i can't bare to take them out of my fit. i still try to do revives, but i give up much sooner than i used to. |

Used to play MAG, and I like the "medic kit" system better. No needles, just a spray of blue mist...
It was faster and much more reliable. Even if the body wasn't exactly where you see it flashing, it would work.
I still carry a Nanite Injectors with my in all my load-outs just because reviving save a load-out and it is 60 xps.
If you are in my surroundings and I can get to you, I will always try! :) |

It's a shame. Since they work so rarely, logibros rarely use them. Since people rarely use them, no one waits for logibros. Since no one waits for logibros, they use them even less. Enter the vicious circle...

I never leave the War Barge without them. Had a strange revive on Manus Peak last night where I revived somebody on a peak, before the ragdoll had finished sliding down, and upon revive they were at the bottom.

I prefer sniping, i love it, it's fun, but it's rarely useful with the current game and weapons (i keep pointing out that the real fix to the TAR is to put it in the sniper progression, not AR, and give it significant kickback per shot; it feels like it's meant to be a marksman rifle for aggressive, front-line squad support and counter-sniping, which is exactly what I the sniper want and need).
Since current sniping is so rarely useful, I go to my next favourite: squad support.
These days I roll logi almost exclusively, with an AR in the weapon slot, RR, injector, and uplinks.
I've actually been pretty good about getting in revives, and have more than once had someone notice me in local or shoot me an evemail thanking me for all the reps and rezzing.
The issue with injectors seems to be based on clipping issues. If someone dies on normal ground i've yet to not rez them on the first try (i sprint toward them, keep aim on the body, and spam left mouse with the thing out -- didn't know they'd implemented instant-access via the E key), almost always get them up, and can usually put my RR on them in time to keep them up long enough to get out of the line of fire for proper repairs.
If they're on top of ANYTHING, though, it won't work. Be that a container, a burm, a building, and goddess save you if it's on stairs. It might be worth trying (as a fix) letting the injector ignore clipping and letting it have a 0.5 meter range. Tnis wouldn't be too easily exploitable to rescue through objects, but if my observations and hypothesis are right and the problem is a clipping issue, it would both prove it and solve it (and so serve as a temporary fix while CCP investigates a more permanent one). |

Having only 1 equipment slot unless you're a logistics is the dumbest idea
Even if the things weren't buggy and the new death screen wasn't completely useless, you're much better off to keep a rep or a hive and just not die :/ |
