I also wish they would be more useful, like Sinboto Simmons has outlined on the linked thread. Increasing A) damage B) Blast radius C) Time to Detonate. even one of these would help a lot. Thank you for your attention, now go forth my proxy-brothers and blow **** up.
Nice to see people actually appreciate that, thank you |

i agree proxy mines are underwhelming. Never got to try the proto ones though.
Still they should be very powerfull but have some activation delay so that they cant be used as "rush the tank, drop the mine, boom" equipment style. |

Cosgar's Alt wrote:Risk vs reward is askew with proximity mines. You go through the trouble of using an equipment slot for a pack, have to figure out where to lay them in hopes to destroy a vehicle and half the time you have to carry multiple tiers because you simply don't have enough to actively lay out. Why not increase the number of mines you can carry by 1~3 and max active by 2~6 per tier while making them non stackable per tier and actual stats to show how much damage they do?
Just making sure I understand you correctly.
The above highlighted passage is you suggesting that we not be able to take more than one slot of the same type of Prox Explosive right (Prox Explosive/Prox Explosive/Nanohive: No; Prox Explosive/F-49 Prox Explosive/Nanohive: Yes)?
If so, I think that would be a welcome tweak especially if the Max Active/Max Carried were both buffed slightly. |

Having 7, 9, 11 mines carried and something along the lines of 6, 8, 10 active can't be that game breaking, especially since it's AV anyway. Increase the blast radius so LAVs can't outrun them, turn the beeping off, and mines will be worth the SP. |

Yeah, I can agree with that. Though I think that if the beep is taken away, a vehicle module should be introduced which acts as an Active Scanner though for explosives.
An Explosives Detector if you will.
I also like the idea of having 24 mines spread around. Especially with no beep, everybody will spend that match on foot as infantry or in dropships. |

proximity explosive's are meanth to be mine's so doing same damage as AV grenade's is kind of underpowerd its a mine not a smal grenade your throwing so i agree whit the OP +1 |

Currently it's not going that way. Reasons: The power of the mines are split among multiple ones. One dropped like that, right on detonation range won't do anything dramatic to the tank. On the other hand if you, an infantryman, drop a proxy which detonates immediately you're likely to get killed by the blast. So chances are about 50/50 you get only a single suicide proxy.
I've been trying to use proxies in close combat, the best way is to get behind a tank on a road and mine the road where he's not looking and hoping he chooses that way (or if using that teamwork of ancient legends) he's forced to retreat that way by other AV. |

I really want to drop prox mines that do at least as much damage as a packed AV grenade. Is that too much to ask? |

hmm risk vs reward. there is no risk if you set them up when no one is around and use them when you switch to a different suit you really did risk all that much. |

Time. I don't know if you've noticed but every minute you're faffing around laying prox mines in the hope that you get a vehicle kill is a minute you could be pushing another control point. |
