I am curious as to how gravity is programmed into this game. With the common mention of bunny hopping and its feasibility it got me thinking, shouldn't each planet have its own gravity and thus we should be able to jump at varying heights and cars handle slightly differently on each planet?
I just wonder if this would be a simple variable change or not to make players feel like they're on a different planet. Idk about all of you, but I forget I'm supposed to feel like I'm on a new planet each match. |

I think it was mentioned by the devs that this is something they are talking about in addition to real day/night cycles and star based physics.
But yes- gravity is easy and a function of the physics engine they are using. Unreal engine has a configurable gravity simulation, so I imagine they are using that. Every game engine uses the same real life calculations that exist on earth as a default setting... around 9.78 m/s-¦. |

At Fan Fest 2012 they said that they absolutely want to adjust gravity to match each planet in the long run, but need to work out the core game first. At Fan Fest 2013 they said they'd have zero/low gravity mining stations as playable maps in the future.
I'm not so sure how exactly it would work though if they are trying to fix the core mechanics first, since gravity is a pretty big core mechanic itself. |

Lol imagine driving an LAV off a hill in zero gravity.
