Couple points that would help the dust community immensely, I expect to be swarmed on with a wave of NO U R WRONG here.t

1) Stop whining about weapon nerfs, it's an endless circle, it's the TAR now, it'll be whatever the next best weapon is after that, honestly. You guys really can't see that you're just repeating yourselves to infinity and beyond? The guns are fine the way they are, the ONLY thing wrong right now is the Aim Sensitivity, I wish you could bump the Sensitivity up to 200%, I'm personally used to Crysis, and I have my Sensitivity turned up so much that the slightest touch of an analog stick causes me to turn around 360 degrees. Competitive players, which you all claim you are, are always going to go for the precise, single shot weapon, and they're going to want high sensitivity. I personally always go for Single Shot weapons, in every FPS I've ever played, it's how I roll...

And personally, if I wan't to use the TAC, I bloody paid for it, so shut the hell up.

CPP, all the weapons are completely fine, I implore you not to change a single thing, they all provide an even, robust challenging game which I thoroughly enjoy.

2) Differentiation between people who do corp battles and public games, as if they're a lesser human being. God, just because people don't invest time into the game, there's nothing wrong with being a casual gamer, personally, I play every day, but remember, IT'S A GAME, and should be treated AS SUCH. People are going to drop in and out, and play nothing but pub battles, just to get a bit of FPS action, deal with it.

3) Adjust your god damned attitudes, you're scaring all the newer players off by acting like complete twats, it seems like only a select "elite" can post on the forum without getting a horde of whiny nerf monkeys who, are ALWAYS RIGHT. Also, stop shouting about the game "Turning into Halo/CoD" or "Get back to Halo/CoD." This is an FPS, there are always going to be similarity, it's always going to attract players from other games, just because you guys are from EVE doesn't make you better players, it doesn't make you more qualified to say what is right and wrong in DUST, I've probably been playing computer games since before you were born.

4) Stop your god damned LAV misuse, I'm so sick and tired of the opposing team spawning 4 LAV's and using them for nothing other than RUNNING PEOPLE THE HELL OVER. It's completely skillless, and it's the most frustrating thing in the entire world. THIS is a problem, this is ridiculous.

5) More Maps, More Gamemodes. CTF? Enough said, I think everyone will agree with this.

6) Minor thing, but Corps should be able to set their own colour scheme which is applies to Dropsuits, Vehicles etc, it would require nothing but a simple palette change, it would allow for the corp to have somewhat of an Identity.

7) Private Training/Friendly Matches perhaps? That wouldn't drain resources or equipment, but wouldn't yield XP or ISK. Good for the corps to have at themselves, and see their ability before they enter the world of PC.

Feel free to add to this, but I personally think DUST is a great game, apart from these points, shame about the majority of the playerbase that post on the forum, that are going to ruin it for us all.

Quick fact
The TAC AR has a DPS roughly equal to a large blaster turret, that thing is spitting out the same damage as a tank cannon, if you still think that the TAC AR is fine after hearing that, there is quite frankly no hope for you.


And if accurately predicting where someone will be and adjusting your course accordingly while planning ahead to avoid enemy AV and choke points is skillless, where does pointing a reticule at someone and pressing a button end up?

1) TAC AR is OP right now and needs some form of nerf, because when 1 weapon is occupying 90% of the kill feed you know something is wrong.

2) Free LAV's got a ridiculous up buff which everyone knows needs to be reduced.

I didn't shout about the TAR, just pointed out that everything else is UP compared to the balanced TAR. Hell, I'm not even talking about the TAR, I'm talking about everything else.

It's called a Cavalry Charge, and it's a time honored tactic. You may not like it, but that's no reason to ban it.
It's not like armies have never ridden down their foes before.

Telling people not to use the cavalry charge is as elitist and pointless as telling everyone that the TAC AR is OP and nobody should use it. CCP loves it when people find new ways to use assets that they have placed in the game. If they don't want anyone killed by anything other than "approved" weapons, then they can do something about it.

Meanwhile don't stand out in the open or play in the street. If you hear a LAV and don't see it in front of you check your scanner. If there isn't a blue diamond there, you have an enemy LAV behind you, so take cover. Don't stand there and look around, dive for cover. Situational awareness is all it takes.

The codewish is completely skillless, and it's the most frustrating thing in the entire world. THIS is a problem, this is ridiculous.

I'm completely well aware how to check radar, how to listen for LAV's the problem is they are too damned fast to do anything about, and if you dodge one, the next one will get you anyway. I'm not asking for it to be nerfed, I'm simply putting it out there, that it's bloody annoying.

What's wrong with expanding the player base, why not bring CoD players in? Sure, they're mostly 14, but god, I've seen 12 year olds in Dust, it can't hurt that bad, more players, more interest in the game, more money for CCP, more updates for dust, and we'll all be happy.

Saying that players of one game, aren't wanted is just counter intuitive, think business.

You are right, more players would be better. Personally, I've said that I don't want Dust to become COD New Eden. What I mean by this, and why people are hesitent to have the "COD" guys here, is that many of us, myself included, do not want Dust to be CODified.

Now, if it were the case that these COD players would come to Dust with an open mind, than that would be great. I think many here fear though, that as the population of players used to COD increased, they would increasingly lobby for Dust to be more like COD.

I think this is the problem that many, including myself, are wary of.

I think op makes some good points.

My problems with tar and lavs:

everyone feels they must have have the same weapon to compete (well, same suit and etc.),
so it gets boring seeing the same thing on every player. Variety would be nice.

lavs... kinda like an annoying gnat flying around you. Perhaps it is fun, i don't know.

Only an Amarrian would obviously lie through his teeth to get people to ally with his own selfish desires.
