Okay now that I got some free time and CCP had some time to fix some things for Uprising. I guess it is safe for me to start compiling a list of bullets. CCP has also made it extremely difficult to find these now.
Due to the entire destruction of the previous list just about it would be far safer for me to start fresh on this list.
What is a bullet? A bullet is a minor annoyance in the game that hampers the quality of life and gets in the way of the game's own enjoyment. While not always the lowest hanging fruit from a developer's point of view the idea is to not try to introduce new game play needs but fix and correct or adjust current content.
For example
Graphics: All Assault Rifles use the Tactical Rifle model regardless of having a scope or not.
Sound: Laser Beam and Scrambler Rifle bullet the noise is similar to the fired noise.
Are examples of bullets while
Force players to animate for swapping seats (or remove the button) is not a bullet. (though rather annoying for someone who came from halo)
Anyways list is a work in progress as I have to start fresh over again. |

the in game map is far to slow to pull up and review with very little information on it . this makes me paranoid that someone is going to headshot me while i am looking for a supply point

i have no idea how to get back the the selection screen to change who i am if there is a way it would be nice if it was right under the options selection in the menu |

New suits (Gallente med m/f, Amarr med m/f, Minmatar light m/f) do not have animated hands in merc quarters & warbarge, karate chops at the ready at all times.
Gallente basic frames are olive/brown in 3rd person but hands are white in first person.
Caldari logistics first person hands are still bumble bee colors (only know about STD suit).
Sometimes 3rd person firing animations don't work so the person is firing and moving with the gun in a rested position (AR only?), happened rarely, may have been fixed. Will update if I don't see it again.
Getting a headshot kill with ar distorts and almost mutes game sounds briefly.
Grenades on rare occasions don't detonate (prob. latency...?) frag, flux |

I'm not sure if these count but:
EVE Lore
- Blaster tier progression in EVE = Electron -> Ion -> Neutron. In DUST = Blaster -> Neutron -> Ion
- Turret sizes are 20GJ and 80GJ. A battleship sized Neutron Blaster Cannon II uses less than 13GJ.
- Blasters feel like Autocannons
- Amarr tank both shields and armor in DUST? (sounds more like a Minmatar role)
- All Logistics give armor HP bonus? (I kinda get this one, but still)
- Gallente and Amarr Assault get shield bonuses?
- Amarr Logistics get the armor repairer bonus instead of Gallente?
- No racial color variety in T2 equipment. All assault equipment is white, all logistics are yellow, all prototype equipment is black/red
Again, not sure if these fit for your list but they were things I've noticed while going through the game and, being an EVE player (who was excited for a FPS game related to that rich backstory) I was pretty unimpressed with the apparent lack of attention to detail on this part. I know they want to "be different than EVE" for some things but some of it just seems pointless. And some of it just completely goes against the lore.
Still though, they have a lot of other things to worry about. Just thought they may qualify for your list. |

* Descriptions for passive bonuses associated with dropsuit skills misleading (why have two different descriptions if they both only add the the same racial role suits?)

* Health indicator doesn't always keep up with loss rate, ex: going down in small segments as though being hit by smg but in actuality hit by sniper, or tac/ charged rifle, MD, while noone else is around.

* Mass driver/flaylock/plasma cannon hit detection it the impact is at a different altitude to the target. To test stand on level ground and aim about a meter away with MD fire you take damage, Stand on top step aim at one below fire and you SOMETIMES take damage.
* Lazer rifle sights are useable but firing when sighted causes a weird sort of back lighting effect, Fair enough you are looking at a high intensity light source so it would be difficult to see but this just points out why its illogical to fit iron sights on a laser rifle it should really have a sight like the scrambler rifle.
Just things I think should be added. |

I have had every grenade type as well as MD rounds simply fail to detonate at various times. The issue does not seem to effect turret missiles as far as I can tell and I haven't tested the Flaylock yet (SP constraints) but this issue is quite pervasive. |

The warbarges all have Caldari flags and logos, even if you are Gallente fighting Caldari. There should be one for each race.
The holomap in the warbarge should show the map that is going to be played. I can't tell if it currently does or not because its hard to see what it is showing but it seems to just have a generic map that is always the same. |

When exiting a vehicle, you get dumped outside in a random location around the vehicle (if this location is a fixed spot, disregard this post). Instead, you should be dumped in whichever direction you were looking at (such as in BF3). |

Sometime AV nades also kill the driver only. Leaving the LAV intact.
Vehicles: - Crashing into a HAV with LAV, while blowing the LAV(which is fine), can also kill the turret occupant. - Glitch on the DS turret when aiming down to much - Missile turret on DS can shot the DS - Some weapon make almost no damage to DS, but make them uncontrollable(see flipping over)

Thanks for this, I thought they fixed this. at least the falling though the floor looks mostly fixed. Anyways more bullets added and those who are submitting bullets good bullets so far. Haha, it's not quite fixed yet. It's often more of a somewhat disappointingly random occurrence that a grenade will not act appropriately when I need it to. Usually the perfectly timed (cooked) and aimed grenade is the one that sticks to the wall and then hits the floor (I can confirm I have not seen them fall through the floor).

- The skill descriptions for high-level dropsuit and vehicle command skills don't make it clear that their bonuses only effect dropsuits/vehicles of that type. For example, in Minmatar Logistics Dropsuit, it says:
"Minmatar Logistics Bonus: +5% to hacking speed per level"
...should probably be more like: "Minmatar Logistics Bonus: +5% to hacking speed per level when using Minmatar Logistics dropsuits"
Similar thing for bonus resists on LLAVs, damage/zoom bonuses on Enforcer tanks, and of course all the dropsuit variants.
- Weapon switching/grenade throwing lag.

- Patch notes not comprehensive add comprehensive patch notes ( Stop ninja changes that are not posted in patch notes )
- weapon range on info not included ( specially helpful for vehicle turrets... Specially for dropships that have a basic idea of their altitude )
- Weapon tab with full stats with skills included into the calculation
- clunky weapon change or giving orders with KBM
- dead skills in tree should have bonuses to what they unlock
- Orders for dropship pilots such as jump or GTFO :P
- Let starters choose all battles including war academy ones and just eliminate academy when they have too many warpoints.
- Sync prior to each battle as an additional step to alleviate desync issues
- Multiple voice channels at once
- Voice chat quality selector for people with less than perfect connections
- Better keyboard tool-tips ( not all controls appear )
- Squad order tutorial
- Orbital Tutorial
- Refresh option to troubleshoot memory problems ( don't know if possible )
- Numerical values to the circles and lines to the TACNET ( ranges of the tacnet )

Physics
- While descending from a hill, RARELY will a player begin to "float" above the terrain by a few centimeters and not be able to control themselves, only slowly "floating" to the base of the hill. Feet touch down at the hill base and control is normal.
Gameplay
- Weapon Swapping (tapping R2 instead of using weapon wheel) has a mild tendency to continuously restart your reload animation instead of swapping to your sidearm. Under fire, this is veryproblematic. Not sure if overly sensitive trigger or what.
- Drop Uplinks will easily cause players to get perma-stuck if they are placed in a slightly confined area. Players will spawn "inside" of each other and be completely unable to move, requiring mass suicide to get back to the game. Hilarious, but frustrating.
- Grenade tossing is still hit or miss on the throw button being pressed. Please strive for AAA-Quality precision and timing.
- On city based maps, LAVs can be brought up stairs onto narrow walkways (right by objectives) and off of the roads. I do not believe this was intended.
- Melee damage does NOT reward user for taking the risk to get close to his enemy. Melee damage is laughable (not sure about with melee mods). May be working as intended, but it feels off when you can get an enemy to half armor in a fire fight, punch him, and he still guns you down because it didn't kill him.
- My tank should not take collision damage when i'm moving over slightly bumpy terrain.
- Drop Uplinks have rare tendency to fall through the map (luckily they do not activate when this happens)

Three more that seem to be hanging on.
- Deployed equipment can still be glitched into terrain, this is used extensively in PC battles.
- Terrain contains hidden "quicksand" areas where movement becomes impossible or nearly impossible. There are also impassible areas (walls and 'lips') which appear to be open space.
[*] LAV physics, currently LAVs require minimal acceleration to crush opposing infantry and lose minimal to no speed when doing so. The new eHP of LAVs is a positive change but the physics need a bit of a tweak.

Wow, this is quite an impressive list, and yet it sadly doesn't cover everything. I honestly don't see how Dust can ever become even a passable game with all of these problems after 4 years of development, how many more years of development are needed? Will people be willing to wait another 4 years? Can CCP financially support another 4 years of development without going bankrupt? |

1: Dust is "passable" at the moment. It is fun to play as a team (teamwork is OP, nerf teamwork), and if you have a little bit of patience, you can get that super awesome gear that you're sure will make you into some MLG pro gamer that will never die (at which point you realize that it will give you an edge, but not make you super1337awesome).
2: Seeing as CCP plans on supporting Dust for a while (as evidenced by the x-year plan where x is a number greater than 1), I would expect them to keep on developing it. A program doesn't magically not need updating one day, especially when you are planning on adding content over a long period of time.
3: The real question is "Are people going to have to wait 4 years for another update?", and the answer is "No." CCP has been pretty good about updating this game regularly, and they have planned hotfixes at the moment.
4: CCP has financially supported 10 years of development on Eve without going bankrupt. Sure, Dust and Eve have different business models, but I'm not worried about CCP going bankrupt because of Dust. They can handle themselves.
This thread isn't evidence that the game sucks, and it doesn't mean that CCP is bad. This thread not being nuked shows you that CCP wants player feedback (as does the existence of the CPM) and that they want to make the game better.
That being said, this game does need a bit more in the short-term rewards department, and I am looking forward to the addition of a VR Room equivalent. |

Seriously. I'm tired of the new things they keep adding to dust with every update. I just want a working game...and if at least half of these issues were fixed the game would work so much better than it does now.
Also, as this list gets worked on, each bullet should be crossed off.
If CCP gets a chance to look through this, they should make a new thread with a list of the bullets organized between the ones that are easily able to be fixed, ones they are working on, ones that will be worked on, and ones that are not easily/will never be fixed. |

You have to hit triangle during character creation to play it, but they are there. |

It might be too major for certain playstyles and weapons to be a bullet but hey, let's throw it out there:
Nanohive resupply rates are out of whack, very inconsistent in how substantial each tick is across weapons. Primary offender that got me noticing this was the combination of Forge Gun/Scrambler Pistol on a Compact Nanohive.
DAU-2 Assault Forge Gun: +2 Scrambler Pistol: +4
You heard it here first ladies and gentlemen, two Scrambler Pistol shots are equivalent to a Forge Gun round. This is largely down to it determining the resupply rate as being a percentage of max ammo capacity, with the scram pistol boasting a particularly dismal reserve, 11 chambered and 31 available for reload. I really envy the massive ammo supply the scram rifles get.
Could that also be a bullet? Might factor too heavily into weapon balance to qualify though, would've figured the deficiency in range would be enough of a limit on it's lonesome however.
But main thing is the standardised algorithm for ammo resupply makes it thoroughly unequal across weapon types and it ain't through purposeful design. |
