II typically play a capper/logi. I'm a little iffy on profile dampeners since they don't hide you from plain sight, but I tend to try and be stealthy I feel like they may serve some use |

It will also bring your profile down so as not to be seen on active scanners. But good investment? Generally only for assasins. |

You ever look at an enemy that is some distance away and not see the red chevron and health bar above his head? You see him, but your suits sensors donGÇÖt, and he will not appear on your teamGÇÖs radar. This is because he has a small profile, and while you can see him and shoot at him, anyone on your team that is not looking at him will not know that he is there. Where as if he had a larger signature profile your suit would pick him up and upload it to the TacNet so your whole team would see him on their radar. |

It might be small profile, but more likely, it is the distance to the enemy. Current suits have 10m scan ranges or less, which is really low. |

I maxed out profile damp as fast as I could. I use 3 of them (25% each) and I barely die. Usualy I die in every 5. or 6. game, because if someone want to hunt me down, she has to use her own eyes without suit help. |

I'm a nova-knifer and I love them so far.
I'll try switching out my profile dampener for an advanced CPU upgrade (so I can fit prototype knives) and see if it's harder to kill people. Although I have to admit, I haven't had a problem with advanced knives and profile dampers yet. |

I'm not a nova knifer, but I don't see much point even for them.
Non-scout suits have scan ranges below 10m even with skills (non-Scouts are idiots if they stack up on Range Amplifiers), so if you run at someone from behind and they detect you with passive scanning, they get perhaps a 0.5 warning on a good day if they pay attention to minimap at all times. Given human response times and turning speeds of suits, it won't make a difference in 99% of cases. |

I think all sniper should use dampener not just scouts.
Why? Because you are easily counterable, not just by another snipers, by anyone who spawn in game with a frekin militia sniper rifle. I counter snipe while I smokeing my cigarette with my other hand, because other sniper dont use dampener and its too easy to find them.
As a sniper I use only light damage modifier and profile dampener, and I'm not complain. My kdr closeing 6 and my usual stat in any game mod like 18-30 / 0 |
