Hi all looking for a little advice with a query or dos. 1. i've thrown sp into shield upgrades and then armor ups and I'm wondering if at this early stage(just under 700,000sp) if both was a mistake or if the armor will pay off later in a gallente med. 2. Just been kicking around on academy battles and Im looking for a early corp and am open to suggestion! 3. Ive had some success with an AR on pub matches but support is where I have the most fun. Im taking my weapon suggestions from the excellent logi basic thread. What Im curious about is should one bring a nanohive in early matches like this? i seem to be chasing people to help and it gets all but ignored, perhaps this is more useful on a mic with some organization so people know what it is?
Thanks for any and all help! -HM |

I think a couple points in each is nice to have at the lower lvls. That being said I would look carefully at your which suit you are going to use before you decide which skill to raise any higher. If you are running pub matches with out a dedicated team as a logi I would recommend starting the match with a drop link then if you die move over to nano hives and simply drop them in busy areas.
If you looking for any more information/question mail me ingame. (i run a minmatar logi suit in game)

Do what that guy said. Also, for the moment it would be beneficial for you to join a schooling corp like Dust University or Bojo's School of the Trades.
Personally I feel like Nanohives under advanced are garbage compared to the last build. If you want some trade secrets that I don't wanna write down then message me in game and I'd be glad to help you. |

With just under 700,000 SP you are in no position to really invest big into Armor Upgrades or Shield Upgrades. Armor Upgrades does 5% armor bonus per level. You got what, 210? 210 x 0.05 = 10.5 armor per level. May sound nice but it's really not much and it's a pretty costly skill as you go up, your limited skill points are better spent elsewhere for now. Same for Shield Upgrades. You have 120 shield? So 120 * 0.05 = 6 shield per level. This really isn't worth it this early in the game. |

1. Seriously read this:The Logi Code. Guide to Logi Success. Updated for Uprising Secondly, Gallente is Armor based, play to your strengths. While you will use shield extenders in your high slots they are less important to level up now. Try the guide's skill suggestion and you should be just fine.
I will give you advice on skill building. Building to your strengths and suggestions for your fits, especially when starting out.
2. Jump on to the corporation requiting threads and see what peoples requirements are. Then, join the channel logi/heavy on your comms. If you are good, and asking for a corp I'm sure you will get picked up.
3. First spawn with a drop uplink fit. Then bring the hives and the repper. If you are chasing people to throw down nanohives then you are doing it wrong. Look where people are gathering for protection/cover and plop them down there. If you are chasing someone with a repper then get the flux repair tool that has a longer distance.
Hope that helps |
