Nah its just that when 3 of the CPM belong to one alliance then start to abuse the broken game mechanics in PC when they also openly critiicise AFKing in the MCC (hypocrites) it just makes a bad name for them

Now everyone knows I live above the arctic circle, which makes me a tough guy by nature, so a dude running his mouth online doesn't really make my ******* itch that much at all (once you've seen one of them "super packs" of big wolves passing through the town it kind of puts stuff into perspective for you), but because it's the hot topic I'm gonna give you my thoughts on it right now.

You see, guys, I think a lot of dudes are pissed off because, CRONOS (and see how I'm taking an outsider's point of view on this topic) is probably the biggest alliance out there who hold the largest chunk of land out there of any alliance. Of ANY alliance, guys, and that's the important point. At this moment CRONOS dominates Molden Heath, make no mistake about it. And that's the number one reason for all the hate, man, cause when you think about it you know, it makes perfect sense. STB is used to be bad guys when they were destroying people left and right in the early days. After that it was the Imperfects when they won the first tournament, guys. Well now it's CRONOS with all those juicy districts, dude. That's it, guys, it's not rocket science.

That being said, guys. I don't think anyone's ever gonna break CRONOS' record of more than 34% of all districts controlled by a single alliance. And knowing we took another one just last night, I think it's only fair that I end this post with a quote from a great man.
"One more in the record books, one more in the win column, and one more for the bad guys."

Ok now this is the difference between hating the guy at work who wont stop whistling (STB), the guy who never puts on a fresh pot of Joe(IMPS) and the guy who parks in the handicap spot because its a legitimate playstyle until someone stops him! (CRONOS)

Problem is that people are abusing the word exploiting. CRONOS is just using the tools that are in the game, they're rubbish and I think everyone in the alliance agrees with it that they need to change, until then, well - game on.

I mean yeah, Termin, we've got some ruthless sons of bitches in our alliance, no question about it! But here's the thing, man, and let me be perfectly honest here because New Eden, just like life isn't all about sunshine and cotton candy, bro. There's always going to be that one dude who's willing to go that extra mile, willing to take that extra step to get what he wants but it's only those ones who end up achieving something, while breaking the rules, who end up being hated like this.

Noone cared about the districts they would take because they would lose them eventually to far better corps except the only way they could hold onto them is by awoxing and being super secret awesome spies while saying 'AFKing is hurting the game and is bad and driving new players away' while PC has stopped recruitment for every single corp looking to take part in PC in someway and every single new player is now a spy or labeled a spy because he will auto awox in a PC battle so new players are also getting shafted

So you went to the supermarket and bought the last gallon of milk before me, I guess that means your bones are stronger then mines and you would beat me in a fight "tough guy" and you are automatically winning even though there is still half gallons of low fat milk still available and that's what I prefered. It kills me to see these alliances beating on there chest claiming to be the best because they grabbed some districts before anyone else. Did it ever cross your mind that some corps don't want to hold all that land while starting out?

I honestly never put to much stock into the whole land grabbing fiasco because I know everything is still premature now. Things will really get interesting once more war is waged. That's when we will know what alliances can hold there own and which ones can't. Take em all take more districts I am just more interested in the hardcore aspect you know imposing our will and taking other competitive alliances district's. Nothing really interesting popped off in PC yet but it should be a really interesting summer.

Truth be told, the need to grab 80 districts during 5 minutes is simple. An alliance of 2k players either takes a big turf and narrows down, or takes a small turf and is confined to expanding very slowly. Any other decision would have been worse.

CRONOS hate also comes from the aggressive expansion behind attacking all neighbors to keep them occupied and weak.

Only time will show if it was sustainable. Our economy is now strong and thriving, but I'm sure there will be a healthy amount of wars during the summer. Just keep throwing all you have at us, war is needed for dust to grow in publicity.

It is pretty laughable they planted their flag on more places first because the E.U had a head start before N.A so that makes them the biggest land owners. Oh well makes our job that much more enjoyable.

TL'DR: spies, team killing part of Eve/CCP.. expect it. However it will get better in the long run.

As a pure Eve player in a SOV holding alliance I wanted to chime in. I haven't posted here in quite some time, but I've been keeping track of Dust.

I am combining Dust and Eve into the same universe since that's what it will be. Eve is definitely a cut-throat, devious game sometime. I expect Dust to be very similar. So I can highly predict that there WILL be team killing and spies in Dust... in the beginning!

Spies and team killers (called awoxers in Eve SOV warfare) is part of daily life. It's expected and looked out for. CCP has pretty much taken a hands off approach and let the players decide how to handle it. For example, our corp does a background check on each applicant, checks out previous corps, requires minimum skill points, requires a FULL API to check out the full account and at the very end, a voice interview, just like a job application. It seems like a bit much, but it's one of the things that makes Eve... well Eve.

I have a feeling that Dust will need to grow in the same manner. Here's the rough part: in the beginning, Everyone will be newbs, have no history, have no skill points. Dust merc corps will probably align themselves with known associates from other games and not accept anyone at the start. It's going to be rough in the beginning. But as mercs grow, you'll be able to weed out the TK'ers for the most part.

Here's the good news. As the merc corp grows and gets older, they will be able to be more circumspect in their recruits. Also Eve corporates will likely need successful merc corps and will be willing to provide ISK/Material to your efforts. (In the same instance, other Eve corps will desperately try to insert their spy's/TK'ers).

Now I don't know what mechanic will be implemented or if there will even be one. But I think it would be prudent to start developing your own ways to deal with the threats

The only reason this alliance has so many districts is because they were able to sign on during their normal day time playing hours and grab districts..the people in the US were unable to do so because it was early in the morning when the majority of society is sleeping. It's funny how all the EURO players all formed one alliance. Guess the best defense is to make sure you ally anyone with the capability of launching an attack. I mean an attack could be launched during the weekend, but with the current timer mechanics an American corp would be forced to defend indefinitely during lunch time.

Sadly - this entire thread sucks and you should all feel bad. CRONOS is only hated for the acts of a few - but the alliance itself wants to chest pound over it anyways. You don't deserve the credit just because you wear the tag. Get over yourselves.
