I love how objective this thread of CRONOS members is.

Nah its just that when 3 of the CPM belong to one alliance then start to abuse the broken game mechanics in PC when they also openly critiicise AFKing in the MCC (hypocrites) it just makes a bad name for them

So for the last couple of days, guys, I've seen a lot of CRONOS guys verbally attacked here on Dust 514 forums, man, and people have been asking me: "Ric, what's your take on this whole CRONOS being the new bad guys of New Eden dude?" Now that's a great question, guys, and make no mistake about it, I'll be giving my thoughts on this whole issue in this post but first let me just point out a few things before I get started. I'm not here to argue about individual cases, like the BetaMaxGate or the now already famous/infamous CRONOS land grab and whether or not these things were the right thing to do or not because I don't wanna start another flame war, which is known to happen when I issue statements on hot button topics like this.

Now everyone knows I live above the arctic circle, which makes me a tough guy by nature, so a dude running his mouth online doesn't really make my ******* itch that much at all (once you've seen one of them "super packs" of big wolves passing through the town it kind of puts stuff into perspective for you), but because it's the hot topic I'm gonna give you my thoughts on it right now.

You see, guys, I think a lot of dudes are pissed off because, CRONOS (and see how I'm taking an outsider's point of view on this topic) is probably the biggest alliance out there who hold the largest chunk of land out there of any alliance. Of ANY alliance, guys, and that's the important point. At this moment CRONOS dominates Molden Heath, make no mistake about it. And that's the number one reason for all the hate, man, cause when you think about it you know, it makes perfect sense. STB is used to be bad guys when they were destroying people left and right in the early days. After that it was the Imperfects when they won the first tournament, guys. Well now it's CRONOS with all those juicy districts, dude. That's it, guys, it's not rocket science.

That being said, guys. I don't think anyone's ever gonna break CRONOS' record of more than 34% of all districts controlled by a single alliance. And knowing we took another one just last night, I think it's only fair that I end this post with a quote from a great man.
"One more in the record books, one more in the win column, and one more for the bad guys."

Ok now this is the difference between hating the guy at work who wont stop whistling (STB), the guy who never puts on a fresh pot of Joe(IMPS) and the guy who parks in the handicap spot because its a legitimate playstyle until someone stops him! (CRONOS)

CRONOS is not hated because of their personality or minor flaws as we are all human.

They are hatted because of what they DO and how selfish they are to the point that they walk over basic principles of society.

But CRONOS has made a very bad rep telling ppl to "HTFU" because they are exploiting poorly written game mechanics justifying that its okay to do in eve so its okay here, and the solution is to break apart your corp to not get screwed over. 100% dirty, say its "new eden" but no one likes you guys because of the situation. I like you guys as ppl, sha kharne is a freind of mine and we share laughs but very broken tactics

Problem is that people are abusing the word exploiting. CRONOS is just using the tools that are in the game, they're rubbish and I think everyone in the alliance agrees with it that they need to change, until then, well - game on.

You are completly 100% mistaken on why chronos are the bad guys. Ppl do not like them because they are playing very dirty to win and their in pretty much everyones bussness. If it was fair and non sabotoged, if the CPMs werent sayin gits okay to exploit and be an ass about it then there would be alot of GG and "oh ****, chronos is really good and their cool dudes i might go join them"

I mean yeah, Termin, we've got some ruthless sons of bitches in our alliance, no question about it! But here's the thing, man, and let me be perfectly honest here because New Eden, just like life isn't all about sunshine and cotton candy, bro. There's always going to be that one dude who's willing to go that extra mile, willing to take that extra step to get what he wants but it's only those ones who end up achieving something, while breaking the rules, who end up being hated like this.

Oh yeah, Core, it's a dirty tactic no question about it! That being said though, CRONOS isn't the only guys who have used this tactic, nor is every corp in CRONOS using this tactic either but fact is that CRONOS is the most talked about and hated. And why is that? Because we control the most districts, bro. Let's be honest here.

As far as I know, Snake, we only have one CPM in CRONOS and yeah she was part of the BetaMaxGate but let's be honest here, bro. The hate has been in the air ever since day one when CRONOS grabbed 33% of all districts with a flick of a wrist.

That is not true at all, plenty of people are hated who achieved practically nothing but in the process wronged allot of people. Saying success is the post by which people are liked or disliked is false.

Many people have achieved allot and are loved for it or at the very least not hated.

Now when you get to the top by tricks a psychopath would use (without empathy) instead of working fairly and achieving through merit that's the difference between being hated or just plain jealousy.

no ones mad at you and no one hates you ...but no one has any respect for you ..the fact is there are a few decent players in chronos and a bunch of avg players...and quiet a few complete scrubs and that is how it is with MOST of the corps in dust ...but MOST of the other corps in dust just try real hard..and even when they lose the still have the respect you lack....why is this...because you dedicate yourself to underhand bullshit tactics because your to chicken **** to try without. and then the end result was ultimate shame...and now that shame will haunt your name ...your the new pro ...no ones hates you no ones mad at you ..no one respects you no one fears you and everyone is laughing at you.
