Can't hit anything, last build hip fire was easy and doable. Now it takes an hour to shoot someone from the hip. ADS is fine, maybe it could be a little faster but it's not a problem.
Is it just me? |

depending what you're using, the ads for sniper is still all slippery and you def have to turn off aim asst. not too sure w other stuff tho. |

The aim assist does hamper my aim sometimes. Especially if my sensitivity settings are low for the ps3 controller.
Example: if I move my targeting reticle (towards a moving enemy that is moving (not sprinting) towards my left/right) as fast as I can with 0 sensitivity (at the X-axis) then the aim assist will slow my aim speed enough to prevent my targeting reticle from reaching the target if the target is close enough. This is more noticeable with a sensitivity of 10 (on X-axis) and you try to aim down your sights of your weapon at a enemy moving to your left/right at 10m (enemy has a moving speed of 5m/sec).
this occurs even with a scout suit. |

It's auto aim
It's just so stiff, it's not funny. You shoot someone, and you move the crosshairs, and it is just so overpowering to your manual input.
You only turn aim assist off when using KB/M, otherwise it severely sucks aiming in CQC/ MQC without it using the DS3, which is want, I personally think you should be using.

Basically my point is aiming and shooting in general isn't as fun as last build. I was just wondering if anyone was having the same problem. If aim assist helps me enjoy the game then fine. I'm not playing to be the best or to show skill or to prove to jackasses like the one above that I don't play like a '*****' I'm playing to have fun and shooting isnt as fun as before. |

If it takes you an hour, you're doing it wrong! Maybe you should pull the trigger more often.
IGÇÖve had no quarrels or problems with hipfire. I usually use the SMG, works fine for me.
Edit: If you have skilled into sharpshooting skill on you're on your hip fire weapon, its going to make the accuracy harder, as there less bullet deviation going on. |

Thanks for the input mate :). You should note they changed the Kitten out of everything with Uprising. Then they broke it, then they patched it, then they made it worse, then they adjusted the weapon damages to help compensate for ruining the Hives and don't forget they removed the light weapon sharp shooter as well as the one for heavies.
All that means ... it ain't like it was before. Hip fire cannot fire for long as the dispersion gets significantly worse the longer one shoots. Assault Rifle skill reduces that. Then there is the Sharp Shooter for AR.
Once I got ARs to lvl 5 and started on proficiency ARs became workable again.
Finally thoughts: In Chromosome it was easy to spec into several weapons and play around a bit to see which one(s) you liked. Now the SP is too expensive to allow experimentation. Without a Skill Respec option the SP is best spent on those things you have to have. Which means (to me), skill into the weapon you are best with. Then add a sidearm and maybe a backup weapon. And Skill Spec as high as you possibly can in your weapon of choice.

What the f*ck are you talking about? I never came on here claiming I was beast, and I think you are misunderstanding what aim assist is. It's not a f*cking aim bot you ****.

Aim Assist in DUST is broken, btw. So sharing CoD hate is out of place not only because it isn't the same game but the DUST version doesn't actually work. In fact there are posts regarding using KB/M when Aim Assist will actually move the pointer away from the target. My experiments with a controller proved to me, long before Chromosome, that it provides no benefit. I ran tests with various weapons and I did better without it. Others have as well.

I going to disagree with u on this and here why.
1. if u going to complain about no hitting something which mean two thing. either u suck at aiming or u keep missing everytime u shoot.
2. I been playing this game for two month and I never had a problem with Aiming down sight or hip firing depending on what weapon u are using.
3. What weapons are u using?
Look im not trying to rock ur boat on this u either get better at it and stop complaining on issue that doesn't need to be fix it just u and have always been u. |

Why not call you a jackass? You are in fact a jackass, you even admitted it... You say it as if me calling you a jackass caused you to get hostile with me, which clearly isn't the case.
Aim assist doesn't allow you to no longer hold L1 and not move the right analog stick while maintaining 100% accuracy. You still need to aim and manuever to be able to hit the target. It helps, but it doesnt grant all of the kills one would get while using it like you seem to think. You're talking as if as soon as you press aim assist on, it (aim assist) takes control of the game and plays for you.
What do I have to feel silly about? You tried to raise a point in which you generalised aim assist users as saying they were skilled when they used something that, in your opinion, isn't their own ability. I have used aim assist so it is pertaining to me. You're arguing with me, so why now claim that the point you raised wasn't actually aimed at me, and then try and claim a victory from it? like I'm supposed to say 'oh now I do feel silly because of that overly ******** point you made! Gosh darn it!'

No, no, no I wasnt complaining about it that's the wrong word. I posted this because I was having problems and wondered if it was just me.
AR and SMG. AR has sharpshooter level 3. No skill in SMG.
Again with the 'complaininng' you talk as if there's loads of posts about it from me. As soon as uprising hit, loads of people noticed that something was wrong with aiming, there's loads of posts about it. It hasn't always been me, because before uprising there was no problems.
