Who says we put newberries straight into PC matches? Do you even PLAY Dust? As long as someone is in your corp they can join the match.
You can't make a case out of this unless you can justify what made you trust them enough to put them in your corp in the first place, instead of filtering them through a holding corp. |

I know meta game, and I appreciate it as much as the next guy, but this isn't some James Bond infiltration ****. This is taking a broken mechanic, and exploiting it.
Even EVE has the function to kick people from fleet, so please don't reference EVE when talking about what's going on. EVE =/= DUST 514 |

Us getting ganked like that adds more to the table. it allows a more in depth relation between real world and game world... stop being so butthurt and coutner the actions..
Honestly if someone can get inside on you like that one its your fault for having half ass recruitment and Two appluad the efforts and come back with a vengeance, mop up your TEARS and pick yourself back up simple.

People keep calling it a "broken mechanic". Please link me to the dev post that confirms it is broken. Or stop calling it broken. If someone takes a hammer and uses it to smash your skull in instead of bashing nails, does this mean the hammer is broken because it's not being used for its intended purpose? |

In my subjective opinion(same as yours) She did not.
xDORAx wrote:She has bragged about infiltrating corps and ruining players experience with the game
She is giving this game a bad reputation just days after the official release She is giving this game a really, really good reputation - theres no other FPS on the world with stuff that DUST have, and Her actions just prove it.
xDORAx wrote:How can we trust her to do her job as cpm in an unbiased Manor if she can't even be trusted in game
so how do we know did she will make her CPM decisions for the good of the playerbase and not just for the good of her Corp I trust Jenza with whole my heart, She is a good leader. You need to realize that this is a game. People play it to have fun. There is no reason for people that play it for fun to destroy this game - because there is no fun in that.
Who would know anything about Helstorm vs. BetaMax. match, if it were not held in such a climate as it was - noone. Match took place and we have 7 page topick on the forum, plus much more topics about whether it is "good or bad?". People are talking about it outside of the forum - probably some of them never played DUST. It is a great advertising for Dust. With one FPS on world have mechanics to backstabbing you teammates, to spy on them?
Naturally some of the game mechanic will have to change in future - CPM is fighting for it on our behalf. But it doesn't mean that we will see less mechanics allowing players to backstabbing each other - they are cool and we need them. |

It's also a boring piece of crap. If you really think people would stick around and play DUST when there is no real fights, you're crazy. CCP, if you don't want DUST to completely fail, you need to give CEO's more tools to control their corps. There are plenty of real fights. But if someone is beating you without having to fight, then kudos to them. If you're gonna quit over it, go ahead. Just means more spoils for the rest of us. Perhaps, instead of whining about "no real fights", you can start thinking of how to force your enemies into a "real fight" so you can put your "ub3r-1337-gunskillz" to use. Seriously, not less than 24 hours ago, I saw someone complaining on these forums that the roles all the units have are useless unless they are forced into direct conflict in this game, because there is nothing but "shoot the enemy". Now I've got someone complaining that there is a mechanic available where you can win without firing a shot.... MAKE UP YOUR MINDZ!! ffs No, but that's not really it, the real problem is that you're losing and you can't think of how to win, so you want CCP to change the game to your benefit. We've got pubbies like you in EVE too. We also have suicide ganking to deal with them. And that's why friendly fire needs to be available in EVERY match.
I couldn't give two fucks about what you do in EVE or where FF is available.
CCP has invested a lot of time and money into DUST, and if it fails because all of the players that would actually play the game and spend money leave, it could hurt EVE as well.
I know you love your blue doughnut in EVE, with 0 fighting, but DUST is literally a game about fighting. People don't play an FPS so they can sit back and watch their "team mates" sit in the MCC committing suicide with grenades.
By the way, who said I was losing? You should stop making up random crap like that. |

HAHA!! You tears, tey are lovely. Your assumption that I am in a sov alliance, also, brilliant. Rage more, silly twit, and please, keep breaking the forum language rules so you get bantears as well.
CCP invested money made from EVE, but EVE has no investment from DUST, so if DUST goes down, it's very unlikely it will drag EVE with it. It's also very unlikely that DUST will go down based on your assumption that people will find this kind of intrigue boring, or the assumption that this kind of gameplay will somehow result in the absolute be-all and end-all death of all fighting in DUST. It won't, because people who are enjoying the game are learning how to counter the methods used, while people who have either already decided it's crap or can't think for themselves are whining about it on the forums instead of playing.
Now, I do plenty of fighting, in both EVE and DUST. I currently have little to no stake in PC, but we're still sussing out the different allegiances, and waiting for a few to turn up, to see what's going on when the dust settles (no pun intended). We're just kind of biding our time for the moment, enjoying the simpler aspects of the game. Anyway, point is, before you start making assumptions about UDHI, you should really try to learn something about us first.
Also, I would recommend refraining from such angry language on the forums. It will get you all banned up outta here. |

I think people are forgetting one little tiny detail. This is in fact... the first Council of Planetary Management. It's clear to everyone here that Planetary Conquest needs to be fixed, and removing two members of the CPM merely a month into their term isn't going to solve the issue. They exploited the mechanic, they can surely bring it up in a meeting with other members of the CPM and with developers of CCP and demand or call a fix for it.
Another thing to keep in mind... this is probably the first FPS to have elected players working closely with the community, and the developers to help make the game favorable to everyone.
Now... I'm a firm believer that both IWS and Jenza are adult enough to be able to separate work from play. In this particular case, being able to know when it's time to buckle down as a CPM rep, and when to go about their daily lives as CEO's of their particular corporation.
People are jumping the gun way to quickly and calling for a removal of these two members all because they openly stated that they support AWOXing because it's a form of meta-game. I'm sure they know that the games internal security isn't what EVE's is, and are discussing this with the other members of the CPM in order to improve the meta-game all together.
Also, in my opinion, exploiting a mechanic that many call broken is a good thing. Especially when you've got the entire world watching your actions as it makes things get done a lot quicker.
It would not surprise me one bit if in a couple of weeks or months from now, a security feature for PC was installed in a patch.
On the other hand, I do love how the chain of events lead to this...
Randoms infiltrate D-UNI -> Said randoms (now known as Grief University) attempt to ransom D-UNI out of a 100m, they fail and proceed to throw the match in Seraphim's favor -> Grief Uni posts a thread on the forums detailing their success -> Plenty of people call them out, a few applaud, others merely troll -> RIFT is infiltrated -> IWS openly approves of subterfuge and sabotaging PC battles w/ infiltrated operatives. Calling it an 'acceptable form of meta-game' -> Jenza openly approves -> People because calling for the removal of both IWS and Jenza from the Council of Planetary Management -> Tibus Heth approves -> Me making this post for absolutely no reason, and being extremely sleepy |

Dude, you've already demonstrated that the best you can do regarding what you know about me is assume. I know you've already got your little panties in a bunch over this issue, but maybe if you started using some of that grey stuff between your ears you'd be able to think about solutions instead of whine. Almost no one says otherwise. You should be able to choose the squads allowed into a battle pre battle or even better allow allowed squad leaders instead of individual players delegating the work and potential impact to them. This would require more work for a spy to become trusted enough to be a SL designated by a director, while still allowing to AWOX your match in a meaningful way ;)
Right now it's just using in game mechanics, which isn't anywhere near exploiting, but I bet we'll see improvements to it in the next iterations of Dust. As I already said in a thread way back, AWOXing should be allowed and it should have an impact on your fight, so even if they implement kicking people it should leave the spot empty for the duration of the match without the ability to bring in someone new in that place - otherwise kicking would be a too big nerf for metagaming. |

Kicking pilots from fleets doesn't remove them from the area, the kicked pilots are still in the same place as the fleet, kicking just removes fleet bonuses, chat channels and things like that. It does not throw you out of space into another system.
Your corp should have considered everyone a spy or team killer. I am nobody, I have nothing to do with anything PC and I knew this was going to happen the day they announced PC. If your corp fell victim to "meta" gaming then it is the corps fault not broken mechanics.
If the director is a spy and kicks everyone from the battle are you going to cry it is broken and that we shouldn't have the ability to kick? The ability to kick and restrict anyone from a battle is a powerful tool, we should think about it more. The worst thing we as a community can to is create policy based off of emotion. Yeah it sucks but them blame should be in placed on the directors that allowed it to happen not the people who created the game. |

I think one could be fairly sure that regardless of how much someone tricks and scams and are evil in-game, being on the advisory board will be taken seriously and progressing for the good of the community.
Just look at Mittani on the previous CSM, lots of changes where made for the better there, while maybe not everyone would trust him and his legions in-game.
Same sort of goes for any player that are an evil bastard in-game, it's very unlikely that they are the same way in real life and as such probably would not reflect over to their positions on advisory boards.
