This is in no way against the rules, and is in fact actively encouraged. Welcome to New Eden, this ain't CoD or Battlefield. lol..."infiltrating"... having someone apply / accepted into a corp, crash their PC game, then invite people. Wow that's hard work...very skillful
Should the corp doing the recruiting not be looking into who it is they are recruiting? |

It's not very difficult to infiltrate a corp in EVE. Have you ever heard of chainsmoking? That's pretty much what is going on here. It's a lot harder to screw over a corp in EVE. In DUST, as long as you can submit an application to a corp and select the right battle ( if you can't do this, DUST isn't for you) you can screw people over. There is 0 effort required and 0 skill involved.
A battle won by minimal effort and minimal skill is a most efficiently won battle. |

Beta Dust Fish wrote:She has been ruining Dust ever since she was in the Beta.
Her own Corp was purposely War Point boosting by Damaging their own vehicles & clones just too use Repair Kits. She and them were also caught in the act.
She never should been included anyways. that whole stream for charity is a SCAM and a flat out lie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
forgot to vote:
YES remove her
And this is why friendly fire needs to be added to every match, including pubs, with a REMOVAL of war points as a result of dealing damage against friendlies. This would be a legitimate mechanic. Removing the ability to infiltrate and destroy corps from within would not. Allowing it to happen, with consequences, is what this game needs. That is, the freedom to do as you choose, and face the consequences for being a criminal, while also allowing for said criminal the tools to be very successful should he be the incredibly smart kind of criminal. |

Yes, because in DUST we really have the tools to look where someone has been. It's not like we can just create an unlimited amount of free PSN accounts - oh wait.
You have the tools to filter players into your corp without injecting them straight into front line roles. Don't pretend like you aren't bringing it on yourself by just fronting "newberries" straight into a PC match if you are already aware of the potential for strife that they can cause. |

It's also a boring piece of crap. If you really think people would stick around and play DUST when there is no real fights, you're crazy. CCP, if you don't want DUST to completely fail, you need to give CEO's more tools to control their corps.
There are plenty of real fights. But if someone is beating you without having to fight, then kudos to them. If you're gonna quit over it, go ahead. Just means more spoils for the rest of us. Perhaps, instead of whining about "no real fights", you can start thinking of how to force your enemies into a "real fight" so you can put your "ub3r-1337-gunskillz" to use.
Seriously, not less than 24 hours ago, I saw someone complaining on these forums that the roles all the units have are useless unless they are forced into direct conflict in this game, because there is nothing but "shoot the enemy". Now I've got someone complaining that there is a mechanic available where you can win without firing a shot....
MAKE UP YOUR MINDZ!! ffs
No, but that's not really it, the real problem is that you're losing and you can't think of how to win, so you want CCP to change the game to your benefit. We've got pubbies like you in EVE too. We also have suicide ganking to deal with them. And that's why friendly fire needs to be available in EVERY match. |

Who says we put newberries straight into PC matches? Do you even PLAY Dust? As long as someone is in your corp they can join the match.
You can't make a case out of this unless you can justify what made you trust them enough to put them in your corp in the first place, instead of filtering them through a holding corp. |

People keep calling it a "broken mechanic". Please link me to the dev post that confirms it is broken. Or stop calling it broken. If someone takes a hammer and uses it to smash your skull in instead of bashing nails, does this mean the hammer is broken because it's not being used for its intended purpose? |

We've got pubbies like you in EVE too. We also have suicide ganking to deal with them. And that's why friendly fire needs to be available in EVERY match. I couldn't give two fucks about what you do in EVE or where FF is available. CCP has invested a lot of time and money into DUST, and if it fails because all of the players that would actually play the game and spend money leave, it could hurt EVE as well. I know you love your blue doughnut in EVE, with 0 fighting, but DUST is literally a game about fighting. People don't play an FPS so they can sit back and watch their "team mates" sit in the MCC committing suicide with grenades. By the way, who said I was losing? You should stop making up random crap like that.
HAHA!! You tears, tey are lovely. Your assumption that I am in a sov alliance, also, brilliant. Rage more, silly twit, and please, keep breaking the forum language rules so you get bantears as well.
CCP invested money made from EVE, but EVE has no investment from DUST, so if DUST goes down, it's very unlikely it will drag EVE with it. It's also very unlikely that DUST will go down based on your assumption that people will find this kind of intrigue boring, or the assumption that this kind of gameplay will somehow result in the absolute be-all and end-all death of all fighting in DUST. It won't, because people who are enjoying the game are learning how to counter the methods used, while people who have either already decided it's crap or can't think for themselves are whining about it on the forums instead of playing.
Now, I do plenty of fighting, in both EVE and DUST. I currently have little to no stake in PC, but we're still sussing out the different allegiances, and waiting for a few to turn up, to see what's going on when the dust settles (no pun intended). We're just kind of biding our time for the moment, enjoying the simpler aspects of the game. Anyway, point is, before you start making assumptions about UDHI, you should really try to learn something about us first.
Also, I would recommend refraining from such angry language on the forums. It will get you all banned up outta here. |

Anyway, after this I can see you don't really understand what's going on.
Goodbye - feel free to have the last word, I won't be replying unless someone comes up with somewhat really good.
Dude, you've already demonstrated that the best you can do regarding what you know about me is assume. I know you've already got your little panties in a bunch over this issue, but maybe if you started using some of that grey stuff between your ears you'd be able to think about solutions instead of whine. Everything you've said to me so far, bar nothing, is an assumption. Including the assumption that I'm trolling. When I tell you you're a carebear crybaby, it's based on my observation of your assumptions and tears, and I 100% mean it. No troll, that would be against the forum rules |

Naedeus wrote:I think people are forgetting one little tiny detail. This is in fact... the first Council of Planetary Management. It's clear to everyone here that Planetary Conquest needs to be fixed, and removing two members of the CPM merely a month into their term isn't going to solve the issue. They exploited the mechanic, they can surely bring it up in a meeting with other members of the CPM and with developers of CCP and demand or call a fix for it.
Another thing to keep in mind... this is probably the first FPS to have elected players working closely with the community, and the developers to help make the game favorable to everyone.
Now... I'm a firm believer that both IWS and Jenza are adult enough to be able to separate work from play. In this particular case, being able to know when it's time to buckle down as a CPM rep, and when to go about their daily lives as CEO's of their particular corporation.
People are jumping the gun way to quickly and calling for a removal of these two members all because they openly stated that they support AWOXing because it's a form of meta-game. I'm sure they know that the games internal security isn't what EVE's is, and are discussing this with the other members of the CPM in order to improve the meta-game all together.
Also, in my opinion, exploiting a mechanic that many call broken is a good thing. Especially when you've got the entire world watching your actions as it makes things get done a lot quicker.
It would not surprise me one bit if in a couple of weeks or months from now, a security feature for PC was installed in a patch.
On the other hand, I do love how the chain of events lead to this...
Randoms infiltrate D-UNI -> Said randoms (now known as Grief University) attempt to ransom D-UNI out of a 100m, they fail and proceed to throw the match in Seraphim's favor -> Grief Uni posts a thread on the forums detailing their success -> Plenty of people call them out, a few applaud, others merely troll -> RIFT is infiltrated -> IWS openly approves of subterfuge and sabotaging PC battles w/ infiltrated operatives. Calling it an 'acceptable form of meta-game' -> Jenza openly approves -> Because of this people begin calling for the removal of both IWS and Jenza from the Council of Planetary Management -> Tibus Heth approves -> Me making this post for absolutely no reason, and being extremely sleepy
Throw the guys that endorse it under a bus. Forget the actual culprits, it's not as if they will keep doing it once no one's around to endorse it anymore... oh, wait.
Also, everything you just said, nail on the head. |
