Not being EA or Activision does not equal Indie.
The fact that your game is on the PS3 usually means you are not an indie |

No, and Counter Strike was a Half-Life mod originally so its core wasnt its own. Plus Quake had bunny hopping |

Am I the only one who kinda likes some of the bugs in halo? Cause frankly the bugs are what makes it so amusing to play. Oh and the sniper rifle physics, those are just outright insane. |

You never played the previous versions of Halo, have you? Play Halo 1, 2 and 3 online and let me know how many times you see some weird **** going on.
PS: Halo 4 is not finished at all. I own a copy of the game. |

You were saying?
Indie was originally used for "individual", i.e. you were the company who came up with the idea, approved it and developed it. Generally indie companies use well-known production companies, like SOE, or a good example would be Dishonored using Bethesda Softworks as a publisher.
CCP is an indie developer, in that it came up with the idea for EVE online, approved it, developed it from scratch, and eventually wound up publishing it itself (after its publisher went bust).
AAA shooters have no set definition, but in general they are seen to be the big ones: CoD, BF, MoH, etc. Not that they're typically examples of the best quality of shooters out there - look at L4D and CS for those rewards. |

"At the Spike Video Game Awards, Journey won awards as the best PlayStation 3 game,[41] the best indie game"
Seriously if you wouldn't classify a game like journey as indie, what would you classify it as? |

I don't think there's much of an argument between Halo and DUST... I mean, they're different games. You can't really compare them unless Halo involved a bit more of your mind. You can say, "Oh no, Halo is definitely better", but that'd be wrong, because (IMO), the only aspect they have in common is that they're both futuristic, and they're both a FPS. They both have their merits.
Where DUST has more customization, bigger maps, and (much) larger lore; Halo has more weapons, vehicles, suit variation, game types, and maps. As for bunny hopping... I've never played an FPS without it. |

They always say its not the size of the ship, but the motion of the ocean, but it takes a long time to get to England in a dingy. |

Much bigger lore can be debatable , since halo has like 17 novels/comic books . The lore sucks in the games though the only way to know anything about it is if you read the books . Here's is a fan created timeline |

Sir, I humbly invite you to peruse the Eve wiki at your leisure. For example, there may only be two EVE lore books written, but there are a large number of fan-written novellas, completely lore-compliant. There are also articles on all the pirate factions, how they formed, what their aims are, what their motivations are, and ultimately how twisted they are. The four factions have even deeper lore, going back to the formations of their respective factions, the financial, militaristic and political structure, their preferred weapon types (cut down by corporation, in some cases) and ship types, and considering that player actions themselves have an affect on the lore... Let's just say that the scope of it is epic.
I personally think that even out of game content considered, think that New Eden has one of the richest lores that any game currently has. Although, that said, The Elder Scrolls is way up there, considering all the expansions that have been launched with the game, and the diversity of the races. |

Actually there are two Eve novels (Emperyean Age and Burning Life) and one Eve/Dust novel (Templar One).
But yes, the lore of New Eden is much deeper, and we have barely only scratched the surface of what there is. |

I know of eve wiki and I dabbled in it time to time. But that can be said to really any established lore ; if you visit the halo wiki it explains the same things you have mentioned in depth , about how the factions formed , what their goals are , the technology of the advanced ancient races are , etc . Although it isn't all that dark like eve is , but they are a few interesting events, like how the covenant had their own order 66 as seen in halo 2 ( which came out before Star wars episode 3 ) . |

I dislike CoD, BF3, (Insert Modern Shooter Here). I play video games to get away from life. Giving me a game that takes place in the same timeframe (21st Century), is just not fun for me. I think BO2 is almost an exception though, because of the futuristic parts. But yea, I prefer games like Halo, Dust... Uh. Dust again? |
