Skyhound Solbrave wrote:I'm really glad to know that CCP tried to do everything they could to make the new weapons as good as they could. It's even better to know they succeeded. The Scrambler Rifle is a true marksman's weapon, despite not havin much range. It requires you to make each shot count and rewards you handsomely for it. I honestly dont even want racial variants for fear that one may accidentally trigger a nerf witch hunt on the entire weapon class.
On that note, PLEASE do not touch it CCP. Not for a very long time. As time goes on, people will become better with the SR and I believe it will become the benchmark of a skilled player, where mastery of the charge shot will garner one and two hit kills. The AR people will NOT like that and WILL cry for the nerf hammer. For once, do not let the QQers win.
Only problem with it is Scrambler rifle operation only effects imperial variants or the non automatics and it has no officer variants.
Pros of scrambler rifle:
High damage Very large clip size Doesn't over heat until you spreyed out half of the second clip (Carthum) Looks sexy
Cons:
Can overheat at all Not the farthest range but is acceptable Scrambler rifle operation only effects semi fire variants Some what high kick making accuracy difficult no officer variant |

No, not quite perfect. Look closely at it when not scoped in. It's got both an iron sight and dot sight. |

yeah when you charge it up and hit the head it can one shot some suits. the scrambler pistol can do this without charging From up close and if you can aim through the iron sigh effectively, then yes. I've been killed by scrambler pistols twice in my entire life in this game. lol Llan Heindell. And when I die by one, it's either a 4 vs 1 kill steal, or a Carthum Assault. |

Im proficient in 3 different light weapons. AR, Scrambler Rifles, and Mass Drivers. AR guys can not handle being killed by anything else. They come on hers and cry and whine. Nerf this and nerf that gun. The auto AR is OP without any recoil. It wasn't then they addes the ranges and now they are again. I play with many AR guys my brother in law being one of them. Hes always raging nerf the mass driver then the other night somebody one shotted him with a scrambler and he cried nerf the scrambler. It was probably the first time in days he had been killed by one lol. The Scrambler rifle does reward you and the auto one probably needs a slight boost. After being skilled into these 3 guns ill tell you what somebody who is good with all of them and all the variants thinks. Auto AR- Needs recoil at full auto when ppl don't manually burst fire it. Burst AR- Touch of damage and a touch more range. Tac AR- They made it the no fun gun. Bring back more fire rate but more recoil when firing fast so it effects your aim. Scrambler Rifle- Rewards you for being accurate and is perfect the way it is. Assault Scrambler Rifle- Slight damage increase. Mass Driver- Perfect Assault Mass Driver- Well its a little OP with the fact you don't have to aim much and you can still damage enemy yet it doesn't do much damage. Breach Mass Driver- Perfect
How bout we talk about how m
Lets talk about how the actual problem with most weapons is the fact that ppl stack damage mods on their suits and that's what changes most weapons to OP status. Most weapons only need minor adjustments. All damage mods need lowered to 5 percent at complex 3 percent at advanced and 2 percent at basic. Or just let ppl use one and keep the percents the same. Similar to certain vehicle modules like the DCU. |

The Assault Scrambler rifle has always had far too much RBS, but then again the players wanted RBS put into the game. |

I've been using the AR for a year now. Was fun but as soon as I tried the SCR, I fell in love. Now I want to go total Amarr, but have spent almost all my SP into the caldari assault suit to proto. Wish the Amarr suit was around when I started planning my character. I may just save the 2.5mil it takes to get it, but right after I max my passives. Please don't change a thing about the SCR except maybe the operation bonus, as it's not very motivating to use the ASCR. |
