Lord Gisbourne Tal-Romon Legion Amarr Empire 0	Posted - 2013.05.10 22:59:00 - [1] - Quote Firstly IGÇÖm a big EVE fan, IGÇÖve bought all the books and play EVE online, so when I heard dust 514 was coming out I was so excited, the concept and mechanics looked amazing, we even pretended PS2 was the eve universe because we wanted an eve universe fps game me and my friends. But then it was announced it was PS3GÇª 10 year old tech on a dying console soon to be replaced by the PS4, and I was like OMG the raw power of a PC could have made this game truly the Best FPS game ever but now we got 720 ress and blury gfx with a crappy controller or half assed mouse/keyboard support that is just as terrible to use, so this really put me off but I said I would give it a fair go today with my mate. After playing for 1 hour I just could not stand to play it anymore, PS2 is 10x better and im not trolling im serious this is where the Dust concept dies. I first tried to use the PS3 controlled but constantly got shot dead or people ran around and trying to aim was a freaking nightmare so I screamed and plugged in my gaming mouse and keyboard, much to my dissatisfaction it was just as bad, mouse sensitivity never feels right, acceleration etc. Why did they not make this EVE PC fan base a EVE FPS PC game? Im so depressed that this crap was even madeGÇª why did they NOT WAIT for the PS4 at least? Why use 10 year old tech to make the next gen of FPS MMO game? It disgusts meGÇª People here will say GFX donGÇÖt make a game and thatGÇÖs true to a certain point, bad textures fine, a bit of jaggies fine, but 720 ress, blur, crappy controls and aim.. sigh this is not good enough for 2013, and as the PS4 wonGÇÖt play PS3 games I donGÇÖt see anyone playing this when the new COD, BF or PS4 come out because PC mmo players are dedicated, console chavs as I like to call them are not dedicated to a console MMO game when its just another fps in their eyes. Sorry to rant on like this but this is my feeling and disappointment in what I was expecting to be the PS2 KillerGÇª Not to offend anyone who likes this game, each to their own but i just really as disappointed in this, with the Power and tech we have available in gaming they make this for the console casuals... good luck to those with the resolve to play this game but i for one will be giving this a miss and launching myself back into my Capsule

Have you ever played a PC game or have any knowledge of console and pc gfx? you seem to be a console only guy to me.

Mostly just play TF2, DotA, SC2, or LoL. But if 720 is that much of a dealbreaker for you then you might as well leave, because no one's going to have patience for that.

And you obviously were not around in Chromosome or closed beta, or else you'd see the difference.

I'm on PS2 right now, i set the render quality to 60% and thats that Dust is around in quality. i wouldn't mind is dust had blob textures, as long as it was crisp and clear, every PS3 game next to me is 720 and nearly every xbox game next to me is 1080, to say the PS3 has better hardware how did this happen?

Are there improvements that can be made? Yes, but the current quality isn't a huge surprise if you've played a lot of console games. The controls aren't very good. In my opinion there isn't an excuse for that. If you're asking about why this isn't on PC, then that's a totally different discussion.

Not all console gamers are chavs lol, what i mean is most people in England who play games play xbox or ps3, and never any RPG games, fifa, boxing that sort of stuff and cod, the more serious role playing gamers have pc's as of from all the big and previous rpg games, EVE is a very tactical game with a small but loyal pc crowd, imagine eve on a console? wouldn't last long or have many people playing it. So what i mean is when the next COD comes out people will forget about dust and go play that, 10 year old pc games are still being played today, most 6 year old xbox 360 or ps3 games are dead ive tried them, console gamers move on more than pc gamers do.
