Oddly, there is no covenant assault rifle in the csv file, just an assault suit, but the sniper rifle is a equivalent to standard (same as using "Sniper Rifle"). If there is a covenant assault rifle, it's presumably std meta 1 as well, I would think. Which means it's three different.. colors maybe of the same rifle. For people that already have the Exile (also a std meta 1), this would become increasingly redundant - it makes buying more than one pack seem silly on at least one level, since you'll wind up with even more redundant ARs. This is probably a sign that ARs won't be getting nerfed soon. For people that bought the collector's edition coming in the fall, the scrambler blueprint will be redundant. I noticed in the Dren suit BPOs, it's all old style stuff: A Gallente Scout G-1 An Amarr Heavy A-1 A Caldari Assault C-1 A Minmatar Logistics M-1 ... so, no new racial variants are there - it's all pre-uprising combos. Further, three of those old combos are specs (as opposed to frame-size), however the Amarr Heavy became the class "Sentinel", and the Heavy is just a frame-size now. It's sort of a further statement that it's using old terminology. It would be interesting if three are specialization locked suits (or suits that get bonuses from those racial specs) and one is just... a frame-size copy (relatively much less special). Anyhow, the net BPOs: 3 ARs (a, b, c) 2 Saga LAVs (b, c) 1 Sniper (b) 1 Scrambler pistol (c) 1 Swarm Launcher (c) 1 Shotgun (c) 1 No-req assault suit (assuming it's like Dragonfly Scout) (a) 1 Scout G-1 (same as Valor) (c) 1 Heavy A-1 (a basic frame?) (c) 1 Assault C-1 (same as Raven) (c) 1 Logistics M-1 (same as Sever) (c)

Instead of spending 20$ on a merc pack that only give you one active booster with 40,000 AUR (12,000 since I would use 28,000 to buy a passive booster as well) You could save your money, get 4 Active boosters, 3 passive boosters, and 340,000 AUR, plus a hell of a lot of blueprints. The only thing I spend AUR on is boosters and occasionally an AR or 10 if I really need something with more power, since I don't have AR 5 yet. So If I spent the AUR on boosters only, (this estimate is at the REGULAR price of 28,000 per 30day, not the sale at 21,000 per 30day) I could get 12 more boosters on top of the 4 active and 3 passive I would already have. That is close to a year of passive and active boosters. If you split it up evenly, its 9 months worth of both passive and active boosters. The total cost would be ~170$. Now that is equal to about 8 merc packs, or 320,000 AUR. So it is a MAJOR dump of money on ONE day, but if you are looking at this for the long run, like me, it is a sound investment. (Lets not discuss anything about CCP and what you think you should or should not have gotten back in the respec okay?) I don't know about you people, but I plan to be playing this game for the next year. I don' t mean spending every waking minute on the game. I will still be playing on Battlefield and other games inbetween.

I would spend the money but not happy at all about the SP sink it was to use the current version of the same suit...you can keep your 5% hack speed bonus I will use another race if I can. I hope that these suits are a sign that CCP is going to give you an optional SP respec soon to offset the MAG suits and other mistakes in the SP system

I don't think it's fair, but I have no problem dumping a lot more $$ into the game than the average player would. even if I don't need it. I would just hate to see dust turn out like that.

If it weren't for the $100 price tag (which will be about $200 by the time it reaches me, even though it should logically only be about $120 of our currency to match the price), I'd consider the Elite Pack because it has some really nice items I'd love to have. But I'm paying SO MUCH and sure, there's a lot there, but I DON'T WANT MOST OF IT. I want LESS so I can pay an amount that's actually borderline sensible for me to be paying. I'm sorry, CCP, but as cool as it would be to have the Dren Shotgun and Swarm Launcher, it's not worth enough to me to spend that amount. Especially if there isn't a valid option on the table for the closed beta Merc Packs yet. Has that changed yet? I just woke up... still sorting out what's happening.

Most players would probably sink 10 - 20 dollars to get some STD level BPO's to fit their choosen race/weapon/playstyle.
