I haven't seen any real reasons why to not do a respec. Especially considering ccp messed up some skills I don't see why not. LOL. 1. Yes, I did my research carefully. To be clear, this isnt a second respec because people are complaning that they may have made a mistake, this is because, with feedback from many players, the CPM believes that a few of the skills learning multiplier and prerequisites need to be changed. For example, i believe that Specialist dropships shouldnt require level 5 on the racial skill. Or with the specialist dropsuits, considering the difference i believe the multiplier should be less as well as the prerequisite.
Because there will be some sort of change, thats why an optional respec is needed. |

Refunding for certain req changes is fine. Respecing because a skill did not turn out the way you want is not. Or we'll get to the point that people will ask for a respec for everything. |

If CCP incorrectly labeled certain skills such that ppl who wanted that bonus skilled into them....and then they correct the incorrectly labeled skill later....or if they had certain requirements to use an item but then change those requirements after ppl skilled into them then yes. CCP will need to do another respec. You just cant blame players for skilling into something that is supposed to give you additional PG and then correct the skill information to reflect the true bonus that it is supposed to give.
This would be like someone skilling into the scrambler rifle to use scramblers just to have CCP change the description and note that it should have been for scrambler pistol. Now suddenly you have a fully skilled item that you didnt want to use and the only reason you used your SP on it is because it said scrambler rifle before.
Another example...it would be like CCP changing the suit description that you chose and changed it to a different racial type you didnt want all because they "had it marked incorrectly". Yea due to these issues CCP is already going to be forced to do another respec on the 14th or this game will basically die from all the ppl who had a mill or more SP stolen from them by CCPs inability to correctly label skills. |
