Dont Listen to the "I want another Respec"

And the respec wasnt because you are good nature'd people, but because there were so many skills added and changed. So if you went in you skills and blew all 8mil+ on skills you thought did what you expected.... thats your own fault, not CCP's. You should know better than to do that. And for all the new players who blew their SP (those with less thatn 2mil), consider this a learning experience.... you probably only truly wasted about 700k SP which isnt alot. It seems like most of the QQ is coming from people who blew 3mil+ (aka people who should have known better) though.

I would leap at the chance to have one though. I put 1point into a laser, and after finding out its range was now terrible, I decided not to skill into an Amarr suit. Then I realised that all weapons have had a similar range nerf, and suddenly that Amarr Assault & laser combo is looking pretty sweet, and tragically out of reach.

But the other side of the fence says "some of these skill books are not working as described" One practical solution to this is for CCP individually fix the skill books in question so that they are applying exactly what they are describing. This I believe to be a fair alternative to the respec. After all, those people on the other side of the fence did pour their SP into those books expecting oranges but wound up with an Apple.

If they would give me the correct skill which grants me +5% on the PG for vehicle engineering then i would stick with vehicles. But how it stands at the moment they will give it -5% on the CPU usage for PG upgrade modules which is useless, not advertised originally on the discription and just plain a nerf to all vehicles.

Also, 150million ISK is chump change in the New Eden economy especially once CCP enables transfers between Dust and Eve players. Taxes may be imposed, but the influx of ISK from Eve would make 150mil look like something not to cry over. Even at 150,000 AUR, it will only mean that the wealthy have the advantage and that is not something I ever want to see in Dust nor in Eve. Ever. I will go with option A since that is much more practical.

Anyone who speced into vehicles is boned right now because of the silent PG nerf, the skill says one thing and CCP says no we ****** up we meant it to say this. But the reason people skilled into vehicles was that they thought the what the skill said was what it was going to do. Edit: I have 10 million wasted skill points right now

But we are talking about people who invested SP into skill books that aren't working the way they were described.

Some people are blaming CCP for faulty skills, and that is legitimate, however the majority of people simply want the final option. They tried things, they might not have liked it after all, or they just want to experience the new content at an advanced level. Either way, there is NOTHING wrong with doing this. The only people arguing against an optional respec are dumb CCP dickriders who refuse to disagree with CCP on anything.

Yes, some people just lunged into their skills without reading and are having buyers remorse (yes, I have some wasted SP too) but there are some obvious skills that need to be fixed. Im infantry but I know that every Tanker got cornholed with this build because their skills dont work and they have to take out a second mortgage for a turret. As long as CCP fixes things, it will be fine... however, they are simply silent about the whole matter.

If your so worried about people complaining, you sould consider letting CCP be the big boy and just stop reading it. Most of the things you post are assumptious and just make you seem like a brown nose ^_^

Although it did say that there is no longer is a sweeping universal weapon range bonus, but instead there will be weapon specific range skills. Probably should have noticed that the sharpshooter skill no longer increases range before upgrading it to lvl 5. I wish I could use my raven assault suit sometime this year. I wish I still had that charging circle in the middle of my screen for the forge gun. Was rather handy when trying to shoot dropships down. It's more of a guessing game on where to lead since with a lot of these pilots.

Whether the skills specifically affected are fixed or not, I think it's fair to ask for ALL the SP I invested in vehicles to be refunded. If they do fix it, I want my SP back so I can skill up again with the skills actually working, and not over-invest in things I have no current need for.

CCP can reset my SP, but I want my boosters back as well.

I've typed out all my skills on a spreadsheet so it'll take me 5 mins to respec. This, and additional bonus for all the people who wanted tanks gone a high percentage of tankers are going to spec out of them so you should be on board with this.
