they will have a respec i think... why? they still have some weapon types, and other stuff not yet released. this is probably a testing phase for SP to find out the exploits then they will have a free respec and change it |

I'll just paste my comment from another thread here because it's relevant.
Thumb Green wrote:They can justify giving one more respec because the game hasn't officially launched yet, it's still in beta. After the 14th if people ask for a respec CCP can easily say "Nope, game has been officially released, no more resets or respecs; your choices are now set in stone."
Respec or not doesn't matter to me. I'm happy with the choice I made and it won't bother me at all to put those points back into it a 2nd time. Hell if CCP wants to do a complete sp reset to make it so we don't start with any more SP than someone that starts on the 14th; then I'm cool with that too cause like I said I know where my points will be going. |

Don Von Hulio wrote:Its so stupid that people have known there would be all these changes coming to DUST, and that there was going to be a respec. And the respec wasnt because you are good nature'd people, but because there were so many skills added and changed.
So if you went in you skills and blew all 8mil+ on skills you thought did what you expected.... thats your own fault, not CCP's. You should know better than to do that. And for all the new players who blew their SP (those with less thatn 2mil), consider this a learning experience.... you probably only truly wasted about 700k SP which isnt alot.
It seems like most of the QQ is coming from people who blew 3mil+ (aka people who should have known better) though.
How does one play such a negative, aggresive attitude and recieve so many likes? If your so worried about people complaining, you sould consider letting CCP be the big boy and just stop reading it. Most of the things you post are assumptious and just make you seem like a brown nose ^_^ |

I really should have read what all skills changed in the patch notes.... Although it did say that there is no longer is a sweeping universal weapon range bonus, but instead there will be weapon specific range skills. Probably should have noticed that the sharpshooter skill no longer increases range before upgrading it to lvl 5.
I wish I could use my raven assault suit sometime this year.
I wish I still had that charging circle in the middle of my screen for the forge gun. Was rather handy when trying to shoot dropships down. It's more of a guessing game on where to lead since with a lot of these pilots. |

Give everyone 15 mil and call it a day.
The sp system is stupid.

I skilled into several skills in the vehicle tree which aren't working as described.
I didn't find this out until after I invested in some OTHER fitting skills I had no reason to train this early in my character's development, trying to cover shortfalls I didn't realise were the result of incorrect descriptions on the skills.
Fixing the skill description will still leave me with almost 1/3 of my character's SP invested in things that are going to be totally useless to me for at least 3 months, and of far less use than those SP being applied somewhere else even then. It'll be AT LEAST 6 months, probably closer to a year, before any of those skill points I wasted will be worth having where I've already put them.
Whether the skills specifically affected are fixed or not, I think it's fair to ask for ALL the SP I invested in vehicles to be refunded. If they don't fix the skills, I want my SP back so I can start my plans over, and possibly change role. If they do fix it, I want my SP back so I can skill up again with the skills actually working, and not over-invest in things I have no current need for. |

All I want to know is why did I have to skill into "Drop Suit Upgrades" to put shield extenders on my tank, when the actual "Shield Extension" skill does nothing? Whose fault is that? Smh. |

Heimdallr69 wrote:Let them respec..you guys get so angry over them wanting a respec why is that? Rational thinking dude. Personally I don't care if we get another respec, if we do grats to the people who fluffed up their SP. I've typed out all my skills on a spreadsheet so it'll take me 5 mins to respec. To all you people saying you don't want a respec because you spent "hours" going through your skills & speccing right, if you can spend that long doing that, I'm sure you can spend time writing it down etc..
Before anyone says "your just saying that because you fluffed your respec!" No I did not. Granted I can only get my level one bumblebee suit, but thats the sacrifice I made to have my core skills and EQ.
Sorry for any typo's, typing on my stupid phone, makes it lag. |

This, and additional bonus for all the people who wanted tanks gone a high percentage of tankers are going to spec out of them so you should be on board with this. |

Doesn't bother me one way or another if people get a their points back, I have't had time to play enough of this game to earn enough SP for it to matter to me any how.
