This feature was something we begged for for a while, kind of like being able to lock bluedots out or eject them from the vehicle. Thanks for at least paying attention to some of our input, but next time think about the stuff you are putting in.
Currently it takes between 15-30 seconds between when you call a vehicle in and when it touches down (assuming the RDV pilot doesnt hover around a while).
It takes 5 seconds to return your vehicle.... No matter it's condition and no matter if you or is it getting shot. The only thing that will prevent the vehicle from being recalled is if some bluedot is chilling in it and refuses to get out.
The recall time needs to be drastically increased. At this time a viable option for pilots would be to skip the reppers all together and simply get around a corner and return your vehicle.
After spending sp heavily on AV, watching people return their vehicle in the time I shoot them twice with my forge gun sucks... a lot. |

Vehicle recall takes 5 seconds for a vehicle to disappear, but another 20 or so before you get the chance to call in another vehicle. |

Not to mention you're wide open when hacking. Although it caught me by surprise when I first recalled my dropship, went to drop an uplink, turned around, and the ship vanished. |

It doesn't change the fact that you can recall the vehicle in less time than it takes to destroy it.
As far as being vulnerable while you recall it: 1. you don't need to stand still to continue the hack 2. only an idiot wouldn't put the tank between the enemy and them 3. you can easily drive around a corner to safety
The patch notes said they tweaked the effects of our weight and movement. From what I have noticed the only thing that acts like it has more weight are LAVs as the game mechanics constantly try to keep some part of the vehicle on the ground (usually making it roll). Tanks on the other hand have seemingly have had their weight cut in half. My last game watched dudes madrugar driving faster than I could ever get my sagiris with nitro to go. Fast enough that the vehicle graphic isn't keeping up with where the vehicle is causing it to seemly glitch forward as it drives. Heavy suits also have lost considerable weight as they are now able to jump on and over railings that previously were too high for them.
5 seconds to recall your vehicle is WAY too quick. The way the encounter with said tank above ended was him throwing on his repper and jumping out to recall his vehicle while I put 4 ishukone forge gun shots in its back. Don't know if the 4th shot hit the tank or if it was already recalled by then, but it poofed before my eyes none the less yielding no points. |

don't get me wrong on this. I love the idea of being able to recall your vehicle. If I wanted I could pull up some of the threads where I suggested the idea like many others have. What I am saying right now is that the game designers implemented a great idea but didn't put any thought into how they did it.
You SHOULD be able to recall your vehicle, but you shouldn't be able to recall it so quickly and you shouldn't be able to recall it while it is being damaged.
5 seconds?? I have had dropship crashes take longer than that. You can return your vehicle faster than it takes the hovering rdv to drop your vehicle most of the time. |
