TBH it's such a stupid phrase! But CCP is so deserving of this new phrase.
Welcome to the Real World!
Your game had so much promise. Guess what? You killed your own game!
Out of the millions who downloaded the game, only 5k max are ever on! That was on new build day only!
You know the game is in trouble when the numbers are down and it's SP reset day. Usually a lot more players get on to grind there measly SP they get for a week.
Welcome to the Real World CCP!
Nobody is going to play a game for a month just to get a dropsuit, a weapon, some supporting skills! That's obsurd! One month to just get one item, one decent item! And that's if you pay for the boosters!!!
Then you have to the nerve to limit everybody on how much SP anybody can earn a week.
You make the game a job! As most players know, having a job isn't that fun! We play games to have fun! Not to think of it as work!
Then you make the gameplay unbearable! Blob/trench warfare is not fun! You nerfed everything into oblivion! Anything that was fun, is not enjoyable anymore! I thought this was a Sci-fi shooter, not some bore-fest 514.
Only developer to have the whole community complaining about everything!
No wonder why nobody is playing this game! The game sucks!
Welcome to the Real World CCP!
welcome to a major update to a beta! yes they messed up but shut up already and let them get the feedback that matters more to them but nonstop critism, yes some is expected and would be good for them but this has gone beyond necessary and is just annoying. Lets do what we are here for and give feedback, REAL FEEDBACK not "you guys messed up the game" without stating what is wrong AND sugegstions on how to fix, this thread contains NONE OF THAT though. |

Starhawk was made in early 2012 I believe, It lost most of it's playerbase due to horrible unbalances at launch. Saying that I mean HORRIBLE unbalances nothing dust has ever seen. That was eventually sorted out, The playerbase dropped to below 1000 Many people said it would die, But as the days carry on, it's still going strong with about 300 players on.
Enough to find a full lobby.
Dust 514 won't die.
3000 players is enough to keep it alive for years.
Those 3000 players are before CCP even puts out advertisements.
Summary: Doom Sayers are wrong.
I was in both betas for that game and own the LE to it, great game. Yes it was imbalanced towards the hawks and has been nearly completely fixed (flak is OP) but it was also the sales date from what I remember.
This game will have its bumps (like now) but those who are here to balance like they agreed to not just to have fun will stay (if they truly wanted to help they would give better feedback beside you screwed up I`m done) and I don`t think this game will die either, as it expands its skills (with new weapons, gear and vehicles counting as 'skills') it will grow in player based, as a F2P it will be a game people will play at least every now and then and dedicated players will stay for years and most likely 10 years to say at least. |
