In the interest of giving DEV's meaningful feedback and helping to resolve these issues -Is it possible to temporarily have some combination of DS3 (and KB) buttons that we could press to either:
A. give a precise map coordinate location that we can pass on to DEV's re: the numerous and interesting terrain issues we're having.
or (preferably)
B. have it log the location for devs automatically.
-maybe with a SHORT and quick menu to select from. (eg invisible wall; stuck on terrain, etc) though, the less I have to do the better.
-at least grid the maps.
just a thought. Zipper did something like this with MAG. I have no idea how helpful it was.
I feel like you guys placed little patches of invisible flypaper all over the place.... |

Great ideas but as it is now I can safely say that anywhere the terrain changes I will get hung up till I jump. |

Hi,
We've actually talked about adding something similar where we would give players the ability to submit bug reports through the client. Its unfortunately still on the backlog.
I'm looking at why players are getting stuck on the terrain, so any information is helps, even though you don't know where you are. Stuff like saying that you always get stuck while running up a steep hill or running next to buildings helps me out. |

locations that I've encountered repeatedly: Ashland: The stairs one travels up East to get to point "D." On the stairs, if you are not paying attention you can step in between the stairs and the wall and get stuck. This happened at elevation of the landing or above.
The wall below "C" has points around the graphical markers where it separates the wall into panels. At each intersection between wall sections is where I get caught and Sprinting deactivates.
There is a place on Manus Peak that once had a spawn point on Ambush, that now you cannot pass between the large angled rocks that stick underground and underneath it. from the old map it was the one in the South-West corner. There is new animation and you have to jump over it to pass through it. |

On Line Harvest east side the northern tower next to A and the clone deploy unit at the transition of the tower and terrain on can get stuck at the corners (uphill side, where the building has a slight overhang) or at least stuck/jumpy/jittery.
On Line Harvest south of B where the pipeline is bridged the small gaps in between the pylons are not passable but shootable
On several occasions usually at the transitions of structures/ null cannon hack points/ crates/ railings and the terrain on contact with said structure.
When approaching a wall (i.e. backwards because of retreating from a firefight) one could choose any angle except direct 90-¦ and at least retreat huddled against said object (at a reduced speed of course because the main movement direction was blocked and only slight strafing speed was accepted) now said gliding along objects ends with the need to step away from said obstacle and realign.
On steep terrain itself I had no problems so far. |
