Drake435 wrote:Its ridiculous that I have to spend quite a bit of SP to use the Raven suit I bought for with REAL money cuz you know, aurum is exchanged for real money. Now, its going to collect dust in my inventory because I will never use it.
Why didn't CCP refund these suits as well? They are going to adjust sp requirements for said suits. Plus, not everyone wants the aur for those suits refunded. Also, some people got all 3 suits in a limited edition merc pack (like myself), they didnt buy each individual suit seperate. |

And be nice and state the facts that you paid 19800 AUR and don't want to spend 2mill so each to use. They do have transaction logs. Without going into detail. Trust me, it is the right thing to do Check the link to my exchange on the first page again. They're aware of the problem. I explicitly told them my account wasn't old enough for it to be an Event or old Merc pack item - said they could check it, and told them they could check my transaction history. After the first denial, I replied again, trying to spell out that not only did I pay for it, I wouldn't have even known people won them before being told that was why I didn't get a refund. I spelled out in no uncertain terms that it was not an event item, and that I definitely paid for it - that it was impossible for me to have received it in an event (they could check) and they could also check my transaction history. I received a canned response that it was an event item both times. OK... To put it more plainly even tho i'm not sure if this violates anything......... They refunded mine............... |

If you feel this is really unfair on you as the consumer you could contact consumer affairs in your country?
I don't know the exact details of this dispute (I only returned to Dust a couple of days ago). But if the product or service has changed significantly from what you were lead to believe I would imagine you have a case. AU complicates matters somewhat I'd imagine however. You could always ask for a refund for you cash if within 30 days?

I got all of my BPO's thru events and merc packs, I do not want them refunded, I want them to have them. in the future I might sell them to other players. Forcing refunds on people that do not want them is bad. |

Yes because they wouldn't want an option for you to buy it back. Our issue isn't with dragonfly's. The item that should have been reimbursed for market value could have been rebought for the same value if you so want to stock up for market launch.
Point is there isn't a credible argument for it other then greed, lazyness, shortsightedness and/or bad leadership.
You can't mislead a customer into buying an item then completely remove the basis you sold it to them on and expect no issue with the purchase.

Forcing refunds on people that do not want them is bad. That is your choice and as you didnt have such a high AUR outlay (19800 x 2 for me so roughly -ú14) its somewhat of an easier choice but you get the downside of the SP grind. They arent forcing a refund on anybody, in fact its the opposite. What they have done is to change the requirements which creates a tough choice of stick with them and grind the SP required or ask for a refund. Yes its sneaky about the SP and I like most other people would have much preferred to be able to use the 2 BPO's I bought.
But at least with an AUR refund its not wasted money and I will leave it in my wallet for a while and if they create new variants or reduce the SP requirement then I will happily rebuy from the market. Therefore I win now and win later, if they dont do anything I still win as the AUR is available for me to spend elsewhere. |

This is precisely the sort of thing we were trying to warn everyone about with the merc pack issue. CCP seems to think it's perfectly reasonable to decide what you purchased, after you've already purchased it. What they say you're purchasing doesn't really seem to factor in. |

Now in Uprising, I'm more interested in the Amarr race and they even changed what the Raven looked like! They so happened to refund all of the other Aurum stuff they had in my inventory at the exact price pre-Uprising, so why can't they do the same to these suits!? I DIDN'T get this suit as a closed beta reward, I BOUGHT THIS! I WANT MY REFUND OF 19,800 aurum!
-or- why don't you guys make this suit usable without any skills like before?? Same here. |

Seriously? The're giving refunds for the Raven suit!? God damnit.
This is all great for the people that just had the suit laying in their inventory, and specced into something else. I got into uprising and nearly shat myself when I saw the SP requirements for pretty much a BASIC suit that's just a BPO. I LOVED my Raven suit in chromosome, but I felt shafted when in uprising I have to spend SO MUCH DAMN SP to use the thing. I didn't want all that aurum I spent to go to waste. (it's real money after all.) so I spent the SP on it so the suit would go to good use.
..and now they're offering refunds for it? I mean that's great and all.. but had I known this would happen, I would've just waited on spending my SP and held out for the refund. I can't be the only one that feels this way. Where does this put people like us? |

Do we need further clarification on this?
Yes. It seems like actions of people like me during closed beta are causing problems for others.
Wrong.
It was not our actions. It was CCP's.
1) They should have immediately refunded all AUR when they raised the prices the first time or 2) Not been greedy in the first place and raised the price 9000% percent.
Dust514 is their world, I'm just living in it, trying to make some profit.
Also, those same guys are all from the closed Beta. There aren't that many.
CCP should just do the damn refund of all purchasable BPO's and be done with it. |
