Radial menu is still almost impossible to use, especially when trying to give squad orders. But also switching between equipment is very hard.
The indicator is still jumping all over the place. This was working perfectly in Chromosome. |

I vote for this scheme.
Weapon / Equipment selection/ Module activation -- middle mouse button to get weapon/equipment wheel -- current selection is highlighted when the wheel is displayed -- scroll up to move the selection counter clockwise around the wheel, scroll down to move it clockwise. When the middle mouse button is released switch to the selected item / activate the selected module.
Squad orders -- same as above but activated with a key on the keyboard followed by mouse wheel movement without pressing the middle mouse button. |

1-9 for equipment and modules Shift + Number for squad orders
The radial works fine on a controller setup, but it's horrid for KB/M in my opinion. |

I use a frag-fx controller and have issues using radial with mouse. I am very new to this game and really enjoy it. I know CCP has its hands full and i trust a competant fix is already underway. Some options customizing controls i have to bump. My start button is right next to my melee/r3 button. If i could map this to the dpax id be set. I have given out more than a few kill trying to melee someone and bringing up the map.I am far from leet in fps, but please consider this feedback as legitimate. Tyvm for reading. |

As a Logi, i encounter this problem regularily. The radial selection is hyper sensitive and doesn't select the item unless it has been highlighted for a short duration (which is nearly impossible to do). I find myself shooting friendlies in the back instead of selecting my repper tool :) Changing mouse sensitivity doesn't seem to help at all.
At this point i resolve myself to getting shot in the back everytime i go to drop a nanohive or uplink as it takes 15+ seconds to do so. Any adjustments would be greatly appreciated <3 |

This issue has been reported so many times. Watch CEOPyrex's video and you can see how hard of a time he has activating tank modules with the mouse.

I find myself avoiding play styles I enjoy because they require me to use the radial menu. CCP we need a status update on this topic.

Above pretty much states the problem. I have exactly the same problem with trying to put down a defend order. Just flicking the mouse over in the direction of the order will make it flicker just like shown in above video. To help out with it though if i keep moving the mouse in the general direction of the defend order (around 45% degrees up to the right ) it will stay at the defend order just as if i used the controller. Something must have gone wrong with the emulator going from chromosome to uprising as it worked perfectly in chromosome. It feels like the emulator wants a steady signal of " i'm pointing this way now " all the time. Easily done with controller as you simply hold the controller in that direction while choosing. But with mouse we can't hold it as we'll move of the table at some point So as i see it the emulator must need a tweak so that it'll do the " i'm pointing this way" for the mouse so it only has to flicker in the general direction and not keep on moving in the direction of the order / module / equipment etc etc. |

The diagonals are the worst...capture cant be used on objectives unless im close enough to rub my crotch on the control panel, but ill be darned if thats not the command i get 90% of the time when trying to set a defend order.
Only wonkier km/b issue is trying to select respawn in a hurry amidst the drop uplink mini-radars that everyone spams these days...good luck! |

I hate necroing threads but I had to ask if there was ever a work around with different settings that we could use to minimize this problem as I am really surprised that this has not been fixed in the two and a half months sense the Uprising update. |

I'll check it again tonight, but I had the same problem last night that I was having that is described in this thread as I was having right after the Uprising update. But I'll check again tonight. |

The problem persists (as of three days ago).
Trying to select your repper out of 3 mods in a tank can take ten attempts and 15secs with bad luck. |

Real surprised that this hadn't been fixed yet.
Edit: Seeing as this hasn't been fixed I'm surprised that I had to use the search function to even find a thread on it. It makes it very difficult to use a mouse and keyboard with vehicles and would have thought it would be a simple fix. Guess I was wrong. |

Bumping this as I have been waiting for the fix for over 2 months as well and I haven't been able to play the game at all as it is hopeless to try to do anything with active tanks. I have lost over 20 mil already by simply testing from time to time if it's fixed already. I really hope this gets fixed soon as I really like this game but it really sucks as some of us have to wait months to be able to play this great game again...
Ps. If anyone wants to be smart*** and say "just use the controller"... I can't even turn the freaking tank with the controller, the controls are so horribly wrong. Not to mention if I have to aim and move at the same time, wow, or how about turning and aiming at the same time? Also I wouldn't even be able to hit the side of a barn with the controller even while on complete stop with the tank. That's how weird it is, I mean I am doing fine with the controller when on foot but tanks are soooooo hard on controller, I just don't understand people who can do it. |

Maybe it's isolated to vehicles?
It seems to be working ok when selecting dropsuit equipment. |

I played extensively with my madrugar tonight, which anybody knows is almost all active mods. But the module selection doesn't seem to be as bad, or maybe I'm starting to get used to it, but if you move real fast I can get the correct module about 70% of the time. Was the main cause of a few of my HAV losses tonight, still can't believe that it has been over two months sense this problem was introduced and its still going strong. |
