Additionally expanding why CCP needs to at the very least offer the option if not outright give us the AURum refund on the BPOs
Is because just like all the other aur and isk items in our inventories they are being refunded along with SP because they account that players may not have utlity of these items which were purchased in a chromosome build where they did have utility.
Those who get aurum back on bpos are no different than the ones getting them on killswitches, except the margins are higher.
Needless to say CCP at the very minimum needs to return the AURUM at the original price point that they were purchased and i know they have all that data tracked, if they dont that is and even LARGER issue if CCP cant track our real money transaactions. |

CCP must not "refund" these items at the original price paid, unless I can repurchase exactly the same items I originally had at no loss. There was a price agreed to, we made a transaction involving real world money (even if that money was converted into a convenience AUR currency, and so they should not take those items off me. They need to develop and maintain trust in their store, and in our virtual assets.
Your suggestion, insofar as it is a claim that CCP should force us to return our purchases at the original low price we paid, is rubbish. As an option for interested parties? That's another story -- but few people would take that option. |

I don't even.
Well Breach rifles haven't been usable since E3 CCP actually didn't like the way tanks were in the game
I don't use my militia BPO's and since we don't have a market in which I can sell them on I should be able to exchange them for AURUM. |

I should have said this in my previous reply. I agree that CCP should refund these bpo's, for the reason you state. Just not at the original low price unless I can repurchase exactly what I had. The only party that a refund hurts is CCP. CCP Eterne claimed it was a huge advantage for those of us who stand to profit handsomely, but I don't believe this unless they think that Dust 514 is in fact pay to win.
And it's not clear to me that this even hurts CCP. Some will receive millions of AUR. Likely, that AUR will be spent on boosters. Even more importantly, that's a lot of AUR that those players would never have bought with real world money. Some of it will translate into lost sales, but some won't. Now suppose that CCP leaves us with these BPO's that we can later sell for ISK. The truth is, the ISK value of these bpo's will probably be relatively low. This will more directly translate into loss of revenue for CCP, I suspect, than an AUR refund at current prices, as players buy the BPO's for ISK instead of AUR. At the very least, it's not clear to me that CCP will be hurt more by an AUR refund at current prices. Maybe less.
Not refunding hurts: a) Players who made decisions based on expecting an AUR refund (decisions they made in the last couple of days, since it's late news) b) Players who purchased BPO's because they plan one fit, but are now doing another for Uprising (have I missed anything?)
Refunding hurts: a) CCPGǪbut maybe not, for above reasons b) Other players, IF Dust 514 is pay to winGǪotherwise, it shouldn't hurt other players (or give a huge advantage)
So net result seems to me to be in favour of AUR refund. But I'm hardly unbiased. But one option is not available -- refunding me at low AUR price so I cannot buy back the goods I purchased from CCP previously.
Time for bedGǪ just as Uprising is coming upGǪbut I'm tired!

You guys can't read. You purchased items in "beta". It stated items may be removed or substituted. I have a copy of the original merc pack terms. The terms DO state that we would get a FULL aur credit at official launch. This is were CCP gets dirty. They will only refund 'merc packs' bought PRIOR to jan 24. That's when they deleted FULL CREDIT at launch from terms. So any other vouchers for aur/gear will not be refunded. I had several vouchers that came w new ps3's. |
