With recent dissatisfaction in mind,I am looking to form a community elected, community managed, community focused collection of mercenaries to act as a watchdog agency for the Council of Planetary Management...
If necessary, this organisation may in future declare the CPM unfit on behalf of the players who recognise this organisation and assume that organisation's responsibilities. The CPM does not work without the community's support. I want you all to remember that you have the power here.
This thread will act as an initial discussion ground and a forum to register expressions of interest in running for The People's Council. A voting system, specifics yet to be announced, will be implemented to choose true player representatives.

Honestly, I don't know why we need another council to govern the council. If we the people have a problem with the CPM, then everyone speaks out. |

DUST 411 was a non-starter. I intentionally remained unaffiliated while that was in place but this isn't posted as a news reporter or as an IMP, it's posted in response to community outcry.
EDIT: Additionally, I'm not in the running for this. Where's the credibility threat? |

Not specifying this thread, but rather all threads as a whole. I think this thread was less biased than it was influenced by Imp mentality. By that I mean the, "we don't trust anyone but ourselves," mentality that most people possess but Imps make most verbal. My point isn't that you intentionally change info to suit your corp, but rather you are passively influenced to your own corp members' views, which in turn changes credibility.

To be honest, we don't need a body (a council or whatever) as long as there are people actively voicing concerns and discussing it in the forums.
As long as there are communications, we need no council; the community itself is the council. |
