I remember this was brought up during a Q&A session in one of the keynotes. Don't remember which one. 2. Taking away the SP earned from AFK seems a little complicated considering how you have to track players movements and tell apart an AFKer from a player actually doing the recon from a hidden spot. 3. This was obviously not CCP's intention, but punishing players for figuring out the AFK thing seems like overdoing it. Just simply turn off any earnings made over time from just being on the match and limit the earnings to actual effort. It's as simple as that. 4. I'm not gonna lie. It does bother me a little, but CCP said during Fanfest they will fix it. As to how... well.. they didn't say.

It seems like everyone feels entitled to be continuously rewarded for downloading DUST to their system and nothing more.
