So far the best dropsuit for my taste is the Caldari logibro. I'll be using a scrambler rifle so no point in speccing into assault because the weapon isn't hybrid. Stack shields and be a medic. If only it wasn't yellow.... |

Gallente Assault is going to be the best in the long run.
Still wondering why they didn't get a damage bonus or an Armor Repairer bonus - as per their combat philosophy.
Amarr Assault should have gotten a bonus to their armor HP.... Gallente Assault should have gotten a bonus to either hybrid damage or armor repairer efficiency... Minmatar Assault should have gotten a bonus to speed... |

Do you know the % to shields/armor? I assumed anything plasma based is a blaster. |

first it is gallente technology and gallente use hybrid weapons. second the description of the weapon pretty much describes a hybrid weapon (plasma carried by energy) and third hybrid weapons are energy weapons too, the energy is just used differently |

Railguns use a physical projectile, but accelerate it to the point that it superheats and effectively acts as a midpoint between energy and kinetic damage.
Blasters use plasma, but contain it so densely it acts somewhat like a physical projectile as well as being plasma, which is more energy-based.
The description of Blaster technology emphasises the impression that "Plasma" means "energy".
Plasma Cannon is described using similar terminology to Blasters, but with a less densely-contained plasma projectile, making it logical to assume it's an energy weapon. I've seen a clip where a Plasma Cannon was shown dealing massive damage to a Caldari HAV, and another where a Gallente LAV survived a Plasma Cannon hit with armour to spare. While not conclusive, it definitely suggests this.
Also, Heavy AV is the Forge Gun, a hybrid weapon with high damage against both armour and shields. The current Light AV option is armour-focused. Having a shield-focused energy weapon as a counterpoint makes sense from a balance perspective. |

Actually, since the role bonus is the same across all of them, you can simplify it by grouping the suits classes together so you can see which racial bonus appeals to you.
Scout Scout suit bonus: 5% reduction to scan profile / level Gallente scout bonus: +10% dropsuit scan radius / level Minmatar scout bonus: +5% melee & nova knife damage / level
Assault Assault suit bonus: +5% dropsuit shield recharge rate / level Amarr Assault bouns: 5% reduction to laser weaponry heat buildup / level Caldari Assault bonus: +2% hybrid weapon reload speed Gallente Assault bonus: 5% reduction to hybrid weaponary PG/CPU usage / level Minmatar Assault bonus: +5% sidearm weaponry clip size / level
Logi Logi suit bonus: +1 hp to dropsuit armor repair rate / level Amarr logistics bonus: +5% to efficacy of armor repairer modules / level Caldari logistics bonus: +5% efficac to shield extender modules / level Gallente Logistics bonus: 5% reduction to PG/CPU usage / level Minmatar logistics bonus: +5% hacking speed / level
Sentinel Sentinel suit bonus: 5% reduction to weapon feedback damage per level Amarr sentinel bonus: +2% heavy weapon reload speed. |

I've overheated like once in the last week with a laser, and not once in the last month with an HMG.
This bonus is a joke. |

The logi bonus of armour rep rate is that for self repair or repair tools does anyone know? and I wonder if that means you can have a logi suit with built in armour rep with out the mod or if you have to install a rep mod to get the bonus added on. |

Question about this. Does this apply to my own armor repairer? Or only to repping other people? And does it apply to a triage nanohive? |

I was wondering if the CPM could ask CCP to actually give us some feedback on skills after the relase of uprising.
For example:
Logi +1 hp to dropsuit means that you get +1 hp per second back per level of the skill you have in that suit to your armour so that it functions like an in built armour repper.
Or Logi +1hp to dropsuit means per level of skill you repair damage to your teams suits with repair equipment (nano hives/armour tools) this bonus applies to you if your standing in your nano hive.
Or 5 percent to repair modules means for every repair module you have an extra 25 percent is added to their effenciy for example a proto repair module will give you 1.25 hp a second for a total of 6.25 hps a second. (or whatever the correct math is).
If we have this type of details it will make it much easier to see what we are getting before we spend millions of sp for various suits/weapons/vehicles etc.
I would ask CPM if they could put this forward for us. |

I wouldn't spec into heavy in the uprising build, not unless CCP is going to offer a heavy dropsuit skill line reset when they release the content patch to add in heavy content.
I played a heavy in the last build. But in uprising I am going to roll Medium, I'll spec some points back into heavy once we get a full racial assortment of heavy suits.
That Amarr Logi is looking nice though :) |
