I dont think there is a *lot* of hate towards us I think most give us a good amount of respect, some may simply see us as easy targets. That being said, just because we are a training corperation, that does not mean we dont have some highly skilled players. Who do you think does the training?

We don't hate anyone. We just have...Black Impulses.

I guess that makes sense, but I remember a thread something about which corp will be attacking which and...A lot of people went ahead and said D-uni.

to answer the question - neither corp is hated. Both corps came together and asked the community if they could take a planet and keep it neutral from all alliances and corps. The community responded with a big ol' "Pay us or gtfo."

Though they picked up a few knight and shining armors. No idea where this 'skill' they speak of is. All either school ever do in my game is go negative lol

And yes there is 'skill', sorry if you havn't seen any. We are a very large corp with the vast majority learning the game, odds are you will see players still learning the game. That being said I wont sit here and say I am a great player, I am good, but not great.

Unfortunately, a lot of it has to do with social Darwinism- the strongest corporations will always try to gobble up the weak, especially if they perceive them as easy targets We have the same thing here, just look at the constant **** waving and the fact that three corps have now been taken down (well technically as both the Southern Legion and Tritan are rebuilding).

But the hatred is placed on them because they are perceived as an easy target. What's sad is that, Dust Uni and Bojo's school are both working hard to make sure new players understand the game and continue playing, but a few corporations think it's a great idea to crush them. But don't we have a bunch of these threads talking about how Dust might (or is) failing and what can be done about it. The fact is we already have two great schools in place and instead of trying to consume them, why not support them so that we can make this game welcoming to new players. Because without an influx of new players this game will fail. Regardless if we like it or not, the future of this game depends on new blood.

To be fair and reasonable - Regnum started this. He just wanted to troll - he didn't literally want to hit these corps. But both corps puffed up there chest to him and brought in the rest of us by referencing imps against him and a few other trolls. Bad diplomatic move.

A lot of us actually wanted to see the Meta in this game expand in this way - but now we gotta torch 'em. Such a shame :( I almost hope they hold us off. Though very unlikely.

I was honestly disappointed to see him fed. When words like scrub, AFK, non-factor, etc. are tossed around, you know some one's ego is going to get burned. But now the horses are startled and you must run with them or risk being trampled.

However, I have many people who are excited. It's not everyday you get the chance to face off with the Imps hombre y hombre. Trust me we're not going to field students against you, we're going to try and make it at least a little fun.

I am a scout who uses the Mass Driver, normal and Breach. I am a scout who uses RE's and Swarm Launchers. I am unique no doubt, but when you are unique to whom can you compare? Great is a player I can not be. But you will have so much fun watching where you step!

I just don't see the point - you were probably put up for extortion because your plan requires a certain amount of ISK to make things smooth - to fight the imps is to risk it all on a gamble rather then pay whatever fee Imps want which will be significantly less then the losses they'll hand you.

Can't we all just get a long? An academy paying for protection seems reasonable to me in the sort of universe we're in. Just pay Imps and let us be on our way to the real fights and you get your meta planet.

Yes, having an opponent is detrimental to my cause, but it's not just about me. It's about all these supporters who want a fight. I'm going to give to them. Plus, this community has gone stagnate. There hasn't been this much stir in a while. Admit that at least.

Protection does seem reasonable, but again, I'd have no opponents to battle if the Imps were protecting the school. BSOTT isn't as neutral as DUNI, BSOTT is independent (LRA was like a test, and it failed). Come at me bro! I am the mouse that roared!

I have muchos respect for the Dust Uni guys because they've done (to the best of their abilities at least) what seems like actual, scholarly testing of things in this game and have been genuinely nice guys all around.

Well among these allies that seek blood are some staff at BSOTT. We have the most adorable praying Mantis who watches Sunny, and he has picked up some guns at the mention of Imperfects. And the day my name is dragged through mud is the day the bombs drop. Interstellar war pew pew!

BSOTT and I may share a name but we are two different entities. One day I will step down from a leadership position and start a small corp in the countryside. BSOTT will continue its course to try and educate the populous.

Secondly, how could we ever teach Planetary Conquest Classes if we never became experienced in managing districts? Or if our students never experienced friendly fire? The opposition has only sweetened the deal by granting us an opportunity to learn ourselves, how to fight for a planet. A stir is almost needed.

Through successive inevitable failures soon to come, the school will be built up, not brought down. Thank you for the warming consideration SoTa, but I like my Soda cold....

Thats it, no more logi until i get to surf a drop ship(and i mean the top, been surfing the bottom between the ground and ds enough to know it ends badly. eg results are a squished merc and a well lubricated ds!)

But we do need more mercs like ReGnUM, I have to hand it to him as he is putting himself out there to train players to reach their highest potential. What would be awesome is if we could have a group of these elite players taking on mercs and training them, just like some of the writer's workshops that have the best authors in the world teaching classes and critiquing the student's work.

It's funny seeing all these people saying how bad DUNI and bojo's school are bad, yet I don't seem them out there creating their own academy. Yes a lot of corps have training corps, but when you come into Dust as a new player, you usually don't know that. All you know is that your under powered, under-equipped and constantly getting ROFL stomped. However, if said player attends one of the two schools they will at least have a chance to learn team work and how to perform on the battlefield. It might not be ReGnUM's teaching, but it provides newberries with a chance to grow and a chance to make an impact on the battlefield.
