I could understand if it was "Blah blah's X", but tieing the entire amarr racial set of BPOs to a $150 box is a poor move. |

Luckily the AU dollar converts very neatly to US currency, to that point that converting to a different currency to buy goods available in USD seems nonsensical.
I can buy EVE game time though paypal, etc. Sony rips me off on merc packs but I manage to put up with it. Now I'm being forced to convert currency in a way that makes no sense (unless greed is good). As someone who plays EVE and Dust I'd like to buy one of these but I honestly don't see that happening under these conditions. |

Point is I don't want the book. And the reason they are bundled together is specifically to bait the people who want one or the other, not make it cheaper for those who want both. |

If they do this I would be happy to buy one. I'd be happy to buy one in any way that made sense. To be honest it's all disposable income at this point and it's only another $40, I just find it difficult to pay when I'm being bilked in such a transparent way. |

I live in New Zealand. What am I supposed to do?
Australia is a neighbouring country, not a region, so obviously not there. We're not part of North America or Europe, but isn't Germany in Europe? How come they're separate? Regardless, New Zealand is in none of those places. And the Australian price being in Euros still makes no sense. |

Bait is bait. If you don't bite, they don't get paid. Bear in mind this pack is celebrating Eve's decade, not Dust. You could also see the Dust stuff as incentives for the long-term Eve players to try out CCP's New Thing.
Looking at the bigger picture we're all going to have to grow out of the I Want All Of The Things mentality because just like Eve, as the game grows older there will be rares and limited editions and prestige items everywhere, and we won't be able to get them all just by grinding out instant battles. Let the Eve players have their celebration suits, then nod respectfully in Dust as you blow them away because they're more used to clicking on buttons than playing a shooter. |

Look at the EVE items. They are all one-shot variants. The DUST stuff represents and entire RACE. That's not proper IMO, unless it is not exclusive. |

My comment is solely focused on calling it THE Amarr Dropsuit. A special edition Amarr dropsuit would both be shinier and less offensive to my inner RP nerd. |

TBH the problem is Dust goods being permanent items whereas the eve ships are limited run. People would explode in anger if they offered permanent ships in EVE. The only permanent items EVE players get in that package are cosmetics.
But it's just as bad for Dust. I'd rather they give us codes for unique paint jobs for a variety of different racial suits (maybe one of each?) than BPOs. I'm still going to buy it, but it really concerns me how liberal CCP is being about issuing more infinite dropsuits. Think about that. If you had to manufacture the suits, no problem, materials cost. But you don't, there's no ISK cost to use the BPO, they spawn out of thin air apparently.
I know BPO have been argued about at length in the past but I can't help but notice how it started with militia suits and now it's standard suits. What's next? Advanced BPOs? Proto?

Hahahaha.
That's the mental picture I have for half the folks in the forums. Especially those getting all uptight and whiny about the ground texture in high traffic areas being too similar compared to less traveled locations or some such blather. |

The marketing idea is great tbh, but I really hate the idea that I have to buy a game I don't want in order to get stuff I could use. of course the opposite could be said well. I hate the idea that I have to pay so much for a game with stuff that I want, that isn't worth $150 and get crap that I will never use because I hate FPS/console games.
Either way, CCP made a smart move here as far as people wanting "free" stuff. It's a nice CE for sure. Probably the nicest that I have ever seen, but its not car note nice. |

It's a damn Templar BPO set. It was sad that the whole thing was not completed with the scout variant (for not being complete currently), but that's basically a tie-in to Templar One or at least the Templar Units. You can get to say "Sup beetchez, check mah mad Templar swag. Now lay on bed unclothed and let me have you missionary style cause God says so!" to all dem capsuleer womyn. |

Merc pac is available now and sells BPO-¦s for 1/8 of the collectors Price, while giving out 2 bpos instead of 6 or more from the CE.
Plus, nothing stops them from selling all the stuff separately for absurd prices. "Templar One bonus pack" (Book + bpos) or "Amarr Bonus pack" (bpos)
For the ammount of stuff that is in the CE, i don-¦t think the price is absurd. And that-¦s just the physical stuff. (CD + Artbook + Rifter USB+ Table Game) |
