I live in New Zealand. What am I supposed to do?
Australia is a neighbouring country, not a region, so obviously not there. We're not part of North America or Europe, but isn't Germany in Europe? How come they're separate? Regardless, New Zealand is in none of those places. And the Australian price being in Euros still makes no sense. |

There was a special EU-exclusive pack that came with a Shotgun BPO that isn't available.
I want that Shotgun, but I don't want anything else in the bundle it came with, and I don't want to have to convert currencies and pay for shipping. I don't have any option to do so anyway, but if I did, I wouldn't. But I still want an option to get the weapon - or at least an equivalent to it.
There were a couple of deals offered in America with exclusive DUST content, which many EU players missed out on, and which some ordered online, got shipped, then found out their DUST content was region-locked and they couldn't access it without a US account anyway.
This pack is giving people a lot of possibly-exclusive items that we may be unable to get through other means. If there's no way to get any equivalent items outside of this pack, it's not cool.
Remember how many people ranted about the events where the timeframe didn't work for US players? I'm not seeing a major difference here. People in certain regions are being limited from access to content we want. It may be that we're getting access, but have to jump through a few more hoops, or it may be that we aren't being given access at all. But either way, it's restrictive and it's restrictive without good reason.
I'll be disappointed if CCP don't - at least eventually - find a way to provide equivalents of this content to EVERYONE.
I don't necessarily need my BPO Shotgun to have the 'Daemon' prefix. I don't necessarily have to get a 'Templar' Dropsuit. But if the stats on that are better than what I get from a new pack that's available on PSN (even though I'll be shafted because NZ and Aus prices on PSn are stupidly high for no reason), I'm not going to be happy. |

Don't fret, it's just a side effect of being at the early stages of a game with an economist pulling the strings and a ten year roadmap. Right now they're seeding our inventories with a) Stuff we don't personally need and b) Limited edition/rare items that not everyone will be able to get hold of. The fun really starts when we switch to the next stage and Dust trading opens up. Now we have a situation where I, an owner of one fine Daemon Shotgun BPO (you should try it it's amazing!!!!! (it's just a standard shotgun and doesn't even have a custom skin)), and you, someone jonesing to get hold of it. That's where the magic happens. If Everyone Had Everything the high level "How much is this rare item really worth?" metagame would only go as far as the plentiful Officer drops sitting in everyone's assets, and that's boring as hell. When they hurry up and give us the option to trade, I'll be happy to drop a significant pile of ISK on the table for one.
In the meantime, it's annoying that I have literally no option to get it.
Also, you described exactly why I want it, so thanks for confirming it's not actually game-breaking. |
